What is the significance of drawings?

Drawing has no purpose other than to satisfy the pursuit of higher intellect.

Drawing is also used for communication, an example would be writing a letter, yes the alphabet is a form of drawing , putting instrument to paper could be concidered drawing, although we call it writing to discern it from drawing, things other than letters and numbers, again during comunication. Drawing is more widely used as a form of expression, a way to take ideas , and thoughts, and putting into reality, that is to see , other than in our minds.

Do the pencils have gravity?

How do you draw faces?

well I usually start off with a nice round circle......then I dot 2 eyes and a mouth and make an upside down v for the nose.....hope that helped....

Portrait drawing is IMHO the highest genre of realist and representational drawing. The most effective way to begin a portrait drawing is by first establishing the outside shape of the head and then fixing into place the major landmarks such as the brow ridge, base of the nose and width of the face.

Portrait drawing requires a skill level that really needs to be both acquired and hone.

A site that I use to get free portrait drawing lessons is http://www.artacademy.com. I'm sure one of their lessons will get you started on the right track.

What are the styles of letters?

Answer

Styles refers to the choices that are made when creating a letter. What kind of text formatting will you use? The three main styles are Block, semi block, and modified block. This refers to how the lines appear on the page.

Block will appear with all sentences aligned with the left margin.

Semi Block can have the salutation aligned with the right margin, and the body of the message as in block.

Modified block can have the salutation and the signature line on the left, and the body of the message as in block.

There are other things to determine in the style of the letter. Do you emphasize words by using bold or italics? There are many such choices when composing a letter, capitalization, use of commas versus indentations, etc.

There are many different kind, you have to make them the way you want them. There's Italics, Bold, Bubbles, Flowers, Balloons, Cursive and more!

What is the difference between civil and architectural drawing?

The main difference is industry the CAD is aimed at. But really if you break it all down into its simplest form there is no difference. CAD is CAD. Its all just lines and circles.

But if we look at the actual software we find there are specific softwares related to specific industries for instance AutoCAD Revit Suite (fantastic btw) caters for 1)Architectural 2)Structural 3)Mechanical, Electrical and Piping. Its a program split into 3 but interconnected (check it out) but the use of the program and functions are all the same.

However if you really mean mechanical as in part modelling then there is a huge difference.

AutoCAD Revit is an area of CAD called Building Information Modelling (BIM) this is where everything is basically library based in its simplest form. A huge parametric library of components is added to lines and points you've drawn on a plan. The properties of these components are then altered through a specific list of possible configurations and editable variables.

Solidworks on the other hand is another form of CAD which is the one I think you mean by mechanical. But really you can do any type of modelling with it if you know what your doing. Solidworks is a dimension based part modeller. It can create solid parts, surface parts, sheet metal parts and much Much MUCH more. In this type of CAD you take an idea or a sketch (more commonly a doodle) and create a custom part from scratch. There are libraries involved in there too but for the most part its usually from scratch.

Both types have their own specific simulation systems. And their are other abilities each of these CAD types can do but I just wanted to scratch the surface or else this answer would be a proper report!

What is blueprint drawing?

An old method of reproducing drawings that wound up with the copies being blue background with the lines in white. The original drawing was fed through rollers with the blank paper that exposed it to light. Then the blank paper was devleoped by exposing it amonia---very smelly process. The paper would develope into a blue color and the exposed lines were white---usually.

How do you draw in isometric?

Isometric drawings, 3-D representations, are drawn on an angle to the parallel to show how the finished product should look. All dimensions should be the same as if drawn flat (2 dimensional).

What is the difference between assembly drawing and detail drawing?

Shop drawings usually refer to drawings made by an engineer and distributed to the shop floor to be used by the fabricators. An as built drawing can mean one of three things. A) As built commonly refers to an item that will have a mirror or opposite part, and is usually labeled as Right or Left Hand, or Opposite Side. In this case AS DRAWN or AS BUILT means the fabricator is to make the part just like the drawing. Often these drawings are enlargements of sections of another drawing. B) The drawing is made during the building process. This would occur during custom building or prototype stage of manufacture. These drawings would then be sent to the engineer for finalization, assuming they work. C) The drawing is made from an existing sample part or product, sometimes by the engineer and sometimes by the people on the shop floor.

What is isometric sketching?

Isometric view is a two dimensional representation of a three dimensional object or space. It is often used in technical drawings, such as architectural, engineering and patent drawings. It is similar to perspective view, yet isometric drawings do not converge at a vanishing point. Since perspective is an optical illusion that skews the lines and dimensions of an object, it cannot be used to convey technical data (i.e., the exact size and measurements of an object, surface or space). In isometric drawings, however, the lines remain parallel and proportionate to one another. It conveys an illusion of three dimensional space without modifying the dimensions and scale of an object. Therefore, it can be used as a scaled technical drawing.

Visually, an isometric view consists of two elevations (A and B) that are adjoined at one side (the y axis) and a plan view (C) that is joined at the top or bottom of elevations A and B. All vertical lines are drawn at an angle that is perpendicular to an imaginary horizon line (the x axis). All horizontal lines, however, are rotated along the y axis at a constant angle (usually 30 or 45 degrees). If the horizontal lines in elevation A are rotated to 30 degrees (taken from the x axis), then the inner angle will be 60 degrees (taken from the y axis). On the opposite side of the y axis, elevation B is mirrored at the same angle (30 degree outer and 60 degree inner). The sum of the inner angles (60 + 60) then forms the angle of the adjoining plan C (120 degrees). For a 45 degree isometric, the inner angles of elevations A and B are each 45 degrees and the adjoining angle of plan C is 90 degrees.

How do you draw a polygon?

draw a square , mark a point at the center then mark the points at the sides of the square according to the amount of sides.then join the points , at last erase the unwanted lines inside the formed shape, and you are done.

What is the importance of technical drawing to chemical engineering?

Without a prior layout and planned idea, you're basically winging your design and most likely messing up your final product. So drawing is one of the most important steps of planning and IT IS in fact EXTREMELY important in engineering.

The drawing of an electrical circuit is called?

The drawing of an electrical circuit is called a.............= schematic drawing.

What is linear perspective?

A form of perspective in which parallel lines seem to meet at one or more vanishing points

What is the important of drawing in mechanical?

In mechanical enginnering field, the drawing is act as a Language, It gives the clear communication to the engineers without any flaw.

Is it OK to draw a celebrity and sell your drawing online?

It is generally not legal to sell a drawing of a celebrity without their permission, as it would likely be considered a violation of their right of publicity. This means that you would need to obtain a license or permission from the celebrity in order to sell your drawing. Additionally, you could be at risk of copyright infringement if you depict the celebrity in a way that is substantially similar to a copyrighted photograph or other image of the celebrity. It's best to consult with a lawyer before selling any drawing of a celebrity.
