What are the dimensions of a one-gallon tank?
There is literally an infinite number of tank configurations. If the tank is a sphere, however, there is only one that will hold precisely one gallon. Similarly, there is only one perfect cube that will hold one gallon. Since one gallon is equal to 231 cubic inches, a cube that measures
231(1/3) (the cubed root of 231) inches on each edge will do the trick. That's 6.136 inches. How about the sphere? The volume of a sphere is (4/3)(Pi)r3. Solving for r we get r = 3.81 inches. So, the diameter is 7.61 inches.
How offen do you clean a goldfish bowl?
Goldfish NEED 20 gallons for the first fish and an additional 10 gallons per additional goldfish. So for 3 goldfish you NEED a 40 gallon aquarium with A LOT of filtration.
Your 3 goldfish will be dead soon due to both ammonia poisoning and lack of oxygen.
Since goldfish have primitive gills, they require A LOT of dissolved oxygen in the water. Hence why they do better in unheated aquariums because cold water holds more dissolved oxygen then warm water does.
You need to clean that bowl like 3 times a day. It is cruelty to keep them in there. Goldfish are America's number 1 mistreated and abused pet because people cram them in bowls. When properly cared for goldfish have lifespans of 30 yrs and grow 8-24 inches depending on variety. I have personally seen 14 inch black moors and have a picture of a 15 inch red oranda.

Why do goldfish jump out of the water?
Goldfish jump out of the water for a variety of different reasons. Some gold fish need more oxygen than what is in their water for example.

What will happen to fish if part of its tail falls off?
Damage to the fins is the first sign of bad (putrid)water. The fish will get very sick with gill and scale damage next and if you do nothing the fish will die. You urgently need to do a few major (at least 70%) water changes ASAP. Goldfish need a minimum of 1 gallon of water per 1 inch of body length. Even given a nicely set up, properly filtered, planted, well lit aquarium, they should also have at least 50% of their water replaced each week.
Depending on the type of goldfish they can be anywhere from 6-12 inches long.
Try the article at the website in related Links It is all about goldfish sizes
Why are gills important to mushroom?
The same as role as lungs, to get oxygen. Only because there is little oxygen in the water the gills have lots of filinents with blood in counter-flow to the water such to maximise surface area and maintain a constant diffusion gradient for the best possible efficiency.

On people bummy bummy bum bum's and then people poo them out. :) thanks! I hope i have helped you :)
Well it is a very good idea to have a lot of variety in your goldfish's diet. I feed my goldfish a combo of flakes and pellets (the pellets are available at the link posted below) and that seems to work very well. Along with the flakes and pellets I like to treat my goldfish with any of the following: freeze-dried krill, freeze-dried tubi-fex worms, live or freeze-dried brine shrimp, frozen daphnia, freeze dried or frozen bloodworms,(another option is to cultivate your own mosquito larva at your home by laying out a shallow dish of water, also another option is to feed your goldfish cleaned/chopped up earthworm). Since goldfish are omnivoures they also enjoy fresh fruits and veggies: watermellon, orange slices, bannana, deshelled green peas, and spinach. Goldfish will also like being able to do some natural grazing in your aquarium if you are willing to grow duckweed and elodea. Hope this helps :)

How do you treat physical damage to your goldfish?
if your fish appears to be scratching itself against other objects, or keeping to the corner, chances are that is is infected with "ick." it is also known as Ichthyophthirius. another sign of ick is that small white specks are visible on the body of the fish. it can also be visible on the fins. since ick is a parasite, it is easily cured by ick treatment that can be found in pet stores. this is a fairly common situation.
How long do feeder guppies survive in saltwater?

What is necessary for a goldfish to live in its bowl?
It is NOT very right to keep a goldfish in a bowl. Not only do they become bored and unhappy, but it can cause health problems and stunt the fish's growth. However, the VERY least you can do for a fish in a bowl is the biggest bowl you can find. Also, goldfish NEED some sort of filter to live a reasonable amount of years, and filters cannot be put in bowls. I recommend at least a 5 gallon tank for your fish. Really though, there is nothing special you can do for a fish in a bowl.
How many goldfish are in the world?
If you're talking about how many baby fish goldfish have, they can have up to 100 eggs(babies), but only about 20-30 will live. The way you can tell which ones are dead and which ones are not is that the ones that are alive are clear, and the ones that are dead are not clear like the live eggs. Hoped that helped.
How do you tell if your goldfish can get along with each other?
there is no definite way to tell goldish appart. But when the water temperatures are warmer, if there is a male and a female fish in the tank, the male fish will chase the female fish around the tank, nudging at her belly, to try and make her release eggs. So if you ever see a fish chasing another fish, the fish doing the chasing is a boy and the fish swimming away is the girl.

Why are goldfish eating other goldfish tails?
to eat it. the reason? I do no know
Edit:
Possibly in order to defend themselves. Normally it's the other way around. If the fry are small enough, goldfish will eat them. Either that, or the babies are naturally aggressive towards the bigger goldfish.
Where do fish the air they need?
Fish do not need air they need Oxygen which is a component of air. Nature always tries to balance things out so the surface of the water (meniscus) allows the transfer of gases. CO2 goes out into the air above and O is absorbed by the water. Plants also make Oxygen and use up Carbon dioxide. The fish have gills in which the membranes do the same thing as our lungs.
How do fish swallow their food?
It really depends on the type of fish. Most fish though, have a certain mouth design that allows the mouth to pop open extremely quickly, creating negative pressure in the mouth, and causing whatever is near the mouth to be instantly sucked in. Once the food is in the mouth, it is pushed down to the stomach by muscular contractions.
