On August 17 1945 Indonesia declared itself an independent republic. WW2 was ending and the Japanese occupiers were leaving so they allowed Indonesia to declare independence. Then the Dutch and their Allies the English came back and tried to recolonize the place resulting in four years of war until the USA told the Dutch to leave. In theory full independence wasn't achieved until 1949 but the republic existed from Aug 1945. There a many "royal" families in Indonesia, each ethnic group has one or more than one. Indonesia only works because it is a secular republic.

Apa saja sih manfaat angin bagi manusia? Baiklah, kakak akan menjelaskan beberapa manfaat angin. Simak baik-baik ya! Adik-adik tahu nelayan kan? Yaitu orang yang pekerjaannya setiap hari mencari ikan di laut dengan menggunakan perahu. Nah, nelayan kalau mencari ikan di laut mereka memanfaatkan angin untuk menggerakkan perahunya, sehingga bisa sampai di laut dan juga bisa pulang ke rumahnya setelah mendapatkan ikan.

Selain bermanfaat bagi nelayan, angin juga bermanfaat buat petani lho, yaitu membantu petani mengairi sawah mereka. Kok bisa ya… bagaimana caranya? Caranya: angin membantu menggerakkan kincir angin yang dibuat petani untuk mengambil air dari dalam sumur. Bila kincir angin itu bergerak maka air dari dalam sumur akan naik ke permukaan kemudian air dialirkan ke sawah.

Ada lagi manfaat angin yang sangat menakjubkan. Ingin tahu tidak? Pasti penasaran. Coba adik-adik perhatikan awan-awan di langit. Awan-awan itu berjalan. Tahukah adik-adik, siapa yang menjalankan awan-awan tersebut? Tentu Alloh. Nah, Alloh mengutus angin untuk membawa awan-awan itu ke suatu tempat yang dikehendaki Alloh untuk diturunkan hujan di tempat tersebut. Nah itulah adik-adik, beberapa manfaat angin!
