1. Loosen the idler pullery bracket adjustment and pivot bolts. 2. Position a suitable belt tension gauge. 3. Install a 1/2 in. breaker bar in the hole in the idler pulley bracket. Apply tension to the belt using the breaker bar. 4. Set the tension on a new belt to 170 lbs or a used belt to 140lbs. While maintaining the tension, tighten the adjustment bolt to 30ft. lbs 5. Remove the belt tension gauge and the breaker bar. Start the engine and let it idle for 5 minutes. 6. Shut the engine off, then reinstall the belt tension gauge and breaker bar. Apply tension with the breaker bar and slowly loosen the adjustment bolt to allow belt tension to increase to the used belt specification, 140 ft. lbs. Tighten the adjustment bolt to 30 ft. lbs. 7. Tighten the pivot bolt to 50ft. lbs.

If the Anti-lock Brake System ( ABS ) warning light is on , a problem has been

detected with the Anti-lock Brake System

It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem

As long as the red " BRAKE " light in your dash is not on you still have " normal "

brakes

On my 04 Lincoln ls V8 the low side ac port is accessible under the car. You turn the front wheels all the way to the left. Jack up the car enough so you can get under it. There is a splash panel you will need to remove. with a 8mm socket and adjustable wrench. it's just the other side of the wheel well towards the front of the car. Once you remove it you will see the compressor and the low side port. It's a bit of a pain to get to but that's where it should be. If your adding freon in the hopes of curing a problem like mine. Where the ac blows hat air all the time. it could be the Dual heating control valve located under the high side port. from what I've read that is a common issue. the 10 amp fuse on mine blew and it's not working. Once I replace it I'll post the results.

Check for spark plug blown out. Cylinder head repair may be needed as well as replacement of coil and fuel rail. This will cost a few dollars.

i assume we are meaning the electrical system... if so, go to the parts store and purchase a multimeter (if you dont know how to use one, simple, red wire plugs into the hole on the meter that has a "+" sign, black wire to the "-" sign,now with the wires in the meter, we place the dial on the dc scale on a mark that has 50 or less but greater than 12 v, then the red lead we touch to the battery post that has a "+" , and the blk lead we touch to the battery post that has a "-") with the meter connected to the battery, we have a second person start the engine, the second person then turns all the electrical gadgets on, including the headlights, stereo, and the boombox with amplifier(if equipped)... your meter should be reading 13-14.5 v (volts), if it is, hard parts are good, if it is not, inspect the electrical system before considering alternator as the electrical system on these cars are pporly designed so ford can get to your pocket as soon as the warrantee expires, but before the "new car joy" fades away...

More Information is needed to answer this question. What is the model of the car (town car, mark VIII, continental) and what is the engine type / size? (5.0 V8, 4.0 V6) Also is the code a P-Code? The Code should be a letter and 4 numbers (e.g. P0189 or P1890)

It should be right up around the intake throttle body. It is a banana sized part with two valves on it, different sizes, and an elctrical plug connection on the other end. You can see the part at www.autozone.com and punch in your make/model etc.

Do not get it fixed, replace it. A spring in that disc changer is the cause of it eating cds and not playing/changing. The spring can be fixed or replaced but will have the same problem in a short amount of time.

In A nutshell ,carefully remove door panel, Drill 3 holes ,big enough to get a socket through, where the window motor bolts are. Unplug motor Carefully maneuver window motor out.

place headlamp inside oven with it resting on a wire gig of some sort (coat hanger config).

preheat to 350 til glue melts on housing remove , seperate..clean

replace with correct adhesive
