Why does Mexico have so many different types vegetation?

Located atop three tectonic plates (North American, Pacific and Cocos Plates), Mexico is one of the most geologically active regions of Earth. This has resulted in a varied topography, which includes the threeSierra Madre mountain ranges, the Mexican Altiplano and the flat lands around the Yucatan Peninsula. Also, The Tropic of Cancer (23° 26' 22'' N) effectively divides the country into northern temperate and southern subtropical zones.

Due to its topography and extensive territory (1,972,550 square kilometers or 761,606 square miles, ranked 14th largest worldwide) Mexico has one of the world's most diverse climates, resulting in diverse types of vegetation: from scrub forests and deserts, to tropical rainforests, grasslands, plains and oak and pine forests.

What is the Mexico national dish?

fish is a joke building up about dish network starting in Mexico, dishnetwork Mexico is getting quite a positive response from a lot of people and that is why sky ( it's satellite rival) is doing everything possible to slander dish so, "someone" is distributing fliers saying that "fish" sucks and they signal drops, and it has crappy channels, and the antenna looks ugly on your roof and so on... sky used to be the ONLY satellite provider in Mexico and for that reason was charging huge amounts of money for the service while getting really bad channels, most of them channels you could get over the air so now that dish came up with a service that provides you with major networks for a very reasonable price this war has started.

hopefully people will choose dish over the next couple of months and will drive out sky out of business hehe.... by the way sky owner is a major tycoonl in this country and owns most of the Mexican networks in Mexico.

The Battle of the Alamo was a defeat at the hands of General Santa Anna who surrounded the Alamo Mission and killed most of the defenders inside. The defeat was heroic, however, and the Alamo became famous as a symbol of Texas courage and bravery.

The Battle of Goliad was the second skirmish of the Texas Revolution which ended in a Texan victory, not defeat. However, the Goliad massacre which occured about 5 months later was the execution of 342 Texas patriots by the Mexican Army. The brutal killing of the prisoners-of-war fueled anti-Mexican sentiments in Texas for many years to come.

Can a Mexican without a Passport fly to Mexico with just a birth certificate or a Mexican drivers lic?

I believe that all you need to go to Mexico is your driver's license (that's all we've used to drive there)...if you are a US born American citizen. However, if you are not a US born American citizen...you'll require further documentation. I do not suggest taking your original birth certificate with you when you travel. A passport is a better option and easier to replace if lost or stolen. Starting 2006 you will need to have a valid passport to travel between Mexico and the USA As of now, you need a passport, and a drivers license to go thru the airport customs.

According to the U.S. governments travel website and the department of homeland security, a passport is required to re-enter the USA by air. Land travel requires proof of identity and citizenship until June 1,2009 at which time a passport will be necessary. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technically the above is correct BUT you willl have extreme difficulty boarding ANY International flight without having a passport as ID at check-in. After June 2009 the airlines have become really hard nosed about this. An " enhanced " drivers liscense is NOT a passport and will not be accepted at the airport .... those things are only for "driving " to Mexico or Canada BUT be warned, althought Mexico will maybe allow you in without a passort ( how much are you willing to pay as a bribe ? ) the U.S. Immigration will NOT allow you back into the U.S. without a passport Money buys anything in Mexico

The Guatemala-Mexico Border has a length of 871 Kilometers (542 miles) and is defined at some stretches by the Usumacinta, Salinas and Suchiate Rivers.

Where is cabo located?

You've heard of Los Cabos, or Cabo San Lucas many times, but don't know where it is at? Los Cabos is located at the tip of the nearly 1,000-mile long Baja California peninsula, and within easy reach of the US and Canada.

It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, the world's youngest and most biologically diverse sea. The area is classified as a tropical thorn forest, with vast tracts of desert terrain tumbling into the two seas.

Cabo San Lucas is colloquially known as Cabo. It is located at the tip of the Baja California peninsula which is, incidentally, part of Mexico.
