What does a HLA-B27 blood test detect?
This is a blood test to detect the presence of HLA-B27 in white blood cells.
The test is conducted to look for specific protein found on the surface of white blood cells. The protein is called human leukocyte antigen B27 (HLA-B27) that help the body's immune system tell the difference between its own cells and foreign, harmful substances.
The test is referred when you have symptoms of chronic inflammation, pain, and stiffness in certain areas of your body, such as your back, neck, and chest, or eyes, especially if you are male. A positive test means HLA-B27 is present. It suggests a greater-than-average risk for developing Ankylosing spondylitis, Reiter syndrome or Sacroiliitis (inflammation of the sacroiliac joint).
If HLA-B27 is not present, then the association is not there.
It means you should call, and go see your Gynecologist. Those symptoms could be several different things. GO SEE YOUR GYNECOLOGIST.

What is happening when you sneeze and get excruciating neck arm and chest pain that aches for hours?
"The most likely cause of your left arm hurting after you sneeze is a bulging disc in the lower part of your neck. You need to visit a chiropractor to get that fixed."
This is not correct at all.
The ulnar and radial nerves in the arm articulate very closely with your brachial plexus near the outer regions of your respiratory system. When you sneze violently this causes a shift in your diaphragm which causes a disturbance of your upper limb nerves.
Though it's uncomfortable it's idiopathic (does not represent any disease or condition) it should go away after about a minute or so. If it persists for longer, you may want to consult your physician.
Do NOT under any circumstances consult a chiropractorabout this condition as the cervical spine adjustments used for this type of complaint are not only proven to be unaffected but can actually cause severely long term damage to your neck and your carotid arteries.
Hope that helps.

Hey, I am going to amend this post by saying that sneezing involves the rapid contraction (or relaxation) of respiratory muscles in the body's effort to get rid of debris. This contraction creates a positive (increased) pressure in the chest, which causes the heart to beat more forcefully for that instant. This creates an increase in blood pressure which I assume causes more strain on your arteries. The pain might come from the strain. As to whether or not this strain indicates a health problem, you should consult your doctor. But a googling reveals that it is a common problem, even amongst active individuals.

You had discharge and stomach pains are you pregnant?
hi there.....your method of birth control really is about the worse thing you can do.... I think you are just having a very light period. However, go to your local drug store and buy a pregnancy test kit and follow the directions carefully.
Next, visit a doctor.............any doctor ...................and get on birth control pills. They are quite inexpensive. If you don't have the money, try your local planned parenthood clinic.
Also, if you don't have the money, what are you planning to do when you DO become pregnant......and you WILL, you know....guaranteed. A girl needs to plan her life, or else she will just ride the wave of whatever life throws her way and she will end up very, very sorry about it all.
You need to discuss these things with your mom, or dad. You will be discussing your pregnancy, otherwise. Which would you rather it be?

What wrong when you have a sharp pain in your right leg?
Cramping can be caused by any number of things. If it's right after you did some vigorous exercise, it can be a simple muscle strain. Some causes, like electrolyte imbalances and many neurological or metabolic diseases, would probably affect all muscles, not just one leg. There are rare exceptions, though.
Other things that can cause cramping-type pain in a leg include (but are not limited to)
- nerve problems (radiculopathy) originating in the back or lower down, like a nerve root that is getting leaned on (impinged) by a nearby structure
- neurological claudication, which is caused by narrowing of the space for the spinal cord (spinal stenosis), often relieved by leaning forward (as when pushing on a shopping cart)
- arterial claudication, caused by decreased blood flow to the leg, from blockage in an artery, often relieved by rest
- bone diseases in the leg may present with pain
If your leg gets worse over time, or if it doesn't get better with rest and over-the-counter remedies like nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) like aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen, you should see your health care practitioner (nurse practitioner, MD, DO) for an opinion.
