Radio stays on after car off?

This mainly depends on the way the radio is wired into the car.

If the radio is wired to a permanent live it will stay on when the key is removed,

If the radio is wired to an ignition or an accessory circuit the radio will go off when the key is removed.

Some radios have the facility to stay on for 20 minutes after the key is removed,

Fiat Panda is a good example of this.

What frequency do two way radio use?

They are not always different. If the communication is between two radios directly, only one frequency is used. This is called simplex operation. It works fine because only one radio is transmitting at a time.

When two radios communicate through a repeater to increase the distance, the repeater must simultaneously receive from one radio while retransmitting the signal to the other radio. A single frequency would not work because the repeater would only hear its own output. So, two frequencies are used. This is called duplex operation.

The above information is partially incorrect. Simplex and duplex do not refer to how many frequencies are used. They refer to the way traffic (data and voice) are sent and received.

The reason for different receive and transmit frequencies is for retransmitting (like stated above) and for satellite communications. Satellites receive on one frequency, then modify, amplify, and retransmit the signal on a different frequency to prevent bleedover.

How did the satellite change the world?

I wouldn't say satellite radio did, to be honest. Though it's becoming a little more popular, it still isn't popular enough to change society. AM & FM radio's still where it's at, currently. And now both will be in competition with HD radio, but HD will go nowhere most likely.

What Problems did the Radio solve?

Yes. At the beginning, listening audiences tended to be very small, or in most cases, zero.

This was primarily due to two main reasons:

1). There were almost no people who owned radio receivers.

2). Those who did had no place to plug them in.

Why do people listen to trance?

I personally love trance music. I like it because it's almost [or can be at least] provocative. I know that lately at raves it's been like half of the music that was played because no matter what type of style of music you like most, if you're in the right mood, trance music can completely take over, which i absolutely love about it. So, in my opinion, trance music is 'so cool' because it pulls you into the hypnotic [hence the name of the type of music 'trance'] beat and you don't even have to try to dance because you'll find yourself doing it anyway.

What is the radiographic procedure that produces a detailed cross-section of an organ in depth?

Is the radio still used today?

Certainly. There are those that prefer the sound of vinyl records to the rather sterile sound of digital music. DJ's often use turn tables as part of their equipment and some radio stations continue to use them.

What code will unlock the radio on a 2007 Hyundai Elantra?

Once you get the radio serial # (on the back of the radio or in the glove compartment) and the vehicle VIN number, you can call Hyundai Customer Service (USA - 1-800-633-5151) or (Canada - 1-800-461-8242) and they can give you the 4 digit code needed to reset the radio. This is the process I took with my 1995 Hyundai Sonata.

What was the first public radio broadcast?

The first public television station was set up by the newly formed BBC. Not only was it the first television station in the UK, it was indeed the first in the world.

The system in use was developed by John Logie Baird who first demonstrated it in 1925 and 1926. It was a black and white image and made up of just 30 lines.

In1937, the first public broadcasts were started in the US. Only two years later the BBC ceased television broadcasts at the beginning of the Second World War leaving the US as the only major broadcaster for a number of years.

How do you remove the radio from a 1988 Chevy Celebrity?

To take the radio out of a 1987 - 1990 Chevrolet Celebrity:

First take off the lower dash trim panel, the one in front of the radio.

1. Remove the ash tray, then the slide it goes in on. This may require removal of the under dash cover. Reach up through the hole where the ash tray was and remove the wire from the cigar lighter, then take the nut off of the back of the cigar lighter socket. The socket will then pull out through the front.

2. Use a thin blade screwdriver and release the headlight knob from the shaft. There is a notch on the back of the knob, the release is in that notch. With the knob off remove the nut from around the shaft.

3. There is a plastic tab that goes under the dash panel to the right of the radio. Pull gently out on the trim panel to make it bow slightly, then the tab will pull out.

4. If the car has a rear window defogger unplug the switch wires.

5. The trim panel should now come off. Use care not to break it.

6. There are three screws that hold the radio in place, remove them and pull the radio out far enough to remove the antenna and wire plugs, then remove the radio,

Re-installation is the reverse.

What do the terms AM and FM have to do with length?

Those terms refer to the method by which information is added to a carrier wave,

to be transported from one place to another. The terms have nothing whatsoever

to do with the length of anything.

Why have a shortwave radio?

Like a glass that resonates with soundTo understand how a radio receives signals, it helps to compare it to how a glass shatters when a singer hits a specific note: When the vibrations in the air match that particular frequency that the glass is tuned to, the glass resonates and absorbs the energy (and shatters if it absorbs too much). So, the glass is a kind of detector or receiver of a particular frequency of sound, and ignores all the other frequencies.

A radio basically works the same way, except instead of sound vibrations, it is tuned to pick up electromagnetic vibrations. It is tuned to a particular frequency, and picks up the signals with that frequency, just like how the glass picks up the signal from a specific frequency of sound in the air.

Basic principle behind every radio is the process of modulation (superimposition of signals on carrier waves collectively called baseband signal) and demodulation of radio waves.

Can visible light travel faster in a vacuum than both xrays and radio waves?

No.

We call it the "speed of light", but it's also the speed of radio, X-rays, heat,

ultraviolet, microwave, gamma rays, etc, and all forms of electromagnetic radiation travel at the same speed, as long as they're in the same medium (vacuum or material substance).

How do you use the radio on the scholastic electronic organizer When i press the radio on and click scan it doesnt do anything am i supposed to be in a specific place in the organizer?

The electronic organizer that is white with blue, does not have to be turned on to play the radio, maybe if it's not working, you need new batteries or you are just in a bad location. I am not sure if these rules apply to new organizer or not but I am very happy with my organizer right now. I hope it works out.
