No. Not directly. Radio waves move in line of sight (a straight line). This is the reason there are so many communications satelites orbiting the Earth. Radio waves are bounced off them to other parts of the globe. If there were two to three satelites in geosynchronous orbit in the L-positions over the moon, we could have essentially obstruction free communication with Far Side.

We've never heard a movie broadcast on radio ... and we don't believe it would

be too successful ... and the inception of sports scores wasn't the big move that

commercialized radio.

The big move that commercialized radio happened on the occasion of about the 100th

time a businessman approached the operator of a radio station and said "I'll pay you

money if you'll read this information about my product during your broadcasts", and the

operator of the radio station finally, for the first time, said "OK".

It didn't happen right away. For the first several years of regular, scheduled

radio broadcasts, the concept of advertising on the radio was regarded with

the same wholesome respect as the concept of a Turkish brothel in Topeka,

Kansas. But in our time, having seen how easily we could come to accept it

as a normal part of broadcasting, they quietly dropped the voluntary limits

on the number of advertising minutes in an hour of radio.

My 2000 VW beetle was taken into the shop about a month ago for a new transmission. After 3 weeks, it was finally fixed, but the radio and tape player will not play any music OR sound. I don't believe it's the fuse b/c the radio display will turn on just not play any music or change stations.

I'm attempting the same thing in my Mother-In-Law's 1996 Hyundai Accent. I've found that you need to start by removing the ashtray to expose the 2 screws on either side of the ashtray (inside). Remove these screws, then gently pry the center dash away (some of the clips might spring, but you can replace these later.

That's as far as I have gotten so far. There seems to be another fastener someplace in the lower left portion of the center dash that holds it in place. I am working to get this removed, but to no avail.

Remove the Ashtray, Remove the 2 screws in the ashtray compartment! Now you need to undo the heater control clips 2 under the drivers side then 1 behind the glovebox.(this took me 2 hours to find!!!!!!!!! Then slide center control unit out. You then have to undo the stereo retaining screws and slide the stero out.... You might have to take the cables off the clock and hazzard lights too. Replace in reverse order and hay presto you are done!!!! Shame I didnt have this info before starting!!!!! Oh well it's done now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could not see the 2 clips until I removed the cover plate under the steering wheel. Once I could see the heater control cables it was obvious what was being said. I disconnected them and the one behind the glovebox and all proceeded as stated above.

I paid a mechanic to do it for me when buying the head unit, it took him an hour including installing two speakers because he had to remove the entire heating unit... so he says to take the stock CD player out and install the new one.

I have a stock CD am/FM radio in mine and all I did was hold down each memory button on my fav station and waited for it to go silent and then the sound returned. after that it was programmed.

There's a whole lot to it, actually, and real scientific. But basically, you can get AM radio from a distance at night, and only local during the day, because the straight waves of radio bounce from the ionosphere back to earth. The ionosphere is composed differently, depending on if it's day or night. When it's nighttime, the ionosphere reflects much better, thus you can hear stations from farther away.

I just bought a 1994 q45 and I asked the same thing. i was told that you must remove the total paneling from the front of the radio by using a butter knife or flat object to lift the panel off of the middle console around the drive stick. then you must take out the screws so that you can remove the panel from around the radio. At thi spoint you can know take out the radio.

X-rays have by far the shorter wavelength. Radio waves can go from several meters in length to miles in length. X-rays, on the other hand, have a wavelength of 0.01 to 10 nanometers. (Nanometers are one-billionth of a meter thick. For a better picture, think of a millimeter - and divide it into one million.)

There are dozens of listings for radio stations in PA. In Reading PA there is a radio station named on the radio that plays heavy metal music. A few music stations are WMMR, WYSP, WIP FM, and WABC FM.

I don't have available the color codes, but now days you can buy the cable-arness adaptor if you want to install an after market radio / stereo which is an exact match for the OEM connectors, and the other ends are prefectly identified to cross connect to your stereo cables. (hope this helps)
