You can be allergic to holly trees/bushes. Whenever I touch one or the leaves prick me, i get a rash and it itches like crazy. Not sure what exactly the allergen is. I haven't been able to find anything about it on the web. Might just have to go to an allergy doctor.

Sometimes babies get a "milk rash" on their faces/neck. All 5 of my kids had it at one time or another. Twice a day take a cotton ball with warm water and clean the face and neck area. It should clear in a few days. Be very gentle and don't rub. Pat dry with more cotton balls. Also, if it is a diaper rash, while newborns are this little, their hineys are so sensitive, I also used cotton balls and warm water to clean them up in their diaper area too. It is possible that a rash in the diaper area could be a yeast infection and not just a diaper irritation, so if it doesn't look like it is clearing in a few days, you can try calling your dr. A yeast infection in a newborn/baby looks like red bumps.

No, not usually. This is assuming that you mean a single lump at the site of the bite. Lumps under the skin are a normal reaction to the allergen introduced by the insect, although not everyone has this reaction to them.

The bumps can be itchy, but not very painful. They should disappear within a few days; this can be expedited by the topical application of an over-the-counter steroid cream such as hydrocortisone.

If the bumps are very large, develop a rash or are painful, then you may wish to see a doctor. Also, be wary of a more serious reaction to the bites which may manifest as a systemic allergic reaction such as rash, difficulty breathing, fever etc.

if you've just stopped a med for skin problems or have just started taking an antibotic, its just clearing out toxins or bacteria from your body. it'll go away, just don't scratch it.

Though it is difficult to diagnose a rash without visualization, it appears by your terse description, you may have eczema - a form of dry skin. Apply hydrocortisone 1% (OTC) to the affected area three times a day. if this cream does not do the trick, you will probably need a stronger cortisone cream via a prescription.

Raised bumps. Little if any weeping. If you are wondering if its fiberglass rash then it probably is. Itching like mad. Take a cold shower, wash and scrub with the hair follicles, hydrocortisone, benadryl, or just be a man and eat fiberglass for breakfast.

Since you are only doing the cutting blades, alcohol would work as well as anything. Just put the head in enough alcohol to cover and let the clipper air dry before using again.

A tip on the other problem. If you can stand it, the aerosol anti fungal works well, it has alcohol in it as part of the contents. Kills some of the fungus on it's own and dries the skin some to. Stings big time, but may work better. For extreme cases, use an antiperspirant down there also. The dryer it is, the less problem you will have.

Treat friction rash or 'chub rub' with baby powder or some type of cream or ointment combined with baby powder.

There are a number of powders formulated specifically for such rashes - my favorite is good ol' "Gold Bond" but my wife says it just stings her so test it out before you go whole hog with whatever you use.

Yes, you can certainly take a bath or shower if you have fifth disease. If you're feeling fever and chills, make sure to keep the temperature moderate so you aren't chilled or overheated.

I have been researching this very topic and I yet to find a real answer. I keep hearing that its an ingrown hair but yet that is not the case with me. I have had such bumps for years and no one has been able to tell me the cause or even what they are. When I had pneumonia they put me on Levaquin (antibiotic) which took care the problem. (so I thought) Two months later they came back bigger, larger and with a vengence. I would love to have an answer to this question also! Any intelligent people out there?
