There are numerous myths as how to keep snakes away, ALL of which are myths. There is no way to keep snakes away from your house, unless you live in a bubble. Snakes enter peoples houses and gardens for a reason. Whether it be in search of food, shelter, warmth or just to pass through - if they want to get in they will. There is no need to be scared of snakes, leave them alone and they'll leave you alone. Obviously depending on where you live they could be more dangerous, but if you see a snake in your area, call a snake removal company to get rid of it. BUT NEVER ATTEMPT TO KILL A SNAKE !.. Firstly because it's cruel, and secondly because the snake could get you before you get it !

Because when a snake is shedding it's skin it means that it's too tight for it and therefore it helps the snake by feeling more comfortable and gives it more space to grow. (It is a need more than a help)

Even keeping the skin location, skin area, and age constant will result in different rates for different individuals.

"Chicken Snake" is a local term and I am unfamiliar with it so I can't help you there. However rat snakes (Elaphe and their relatives) are considered completely harmless in terms of venom. The most that would happen is a couple of blood marks at most and more than likely nothing at all.

If your rabbit is not harmed (i.e. bleeding or not eating) I wouldn't worry about it. It it is shaking, bleeding and not eating, it can be serious and rush it calmly to a vet.
