What are differences between green tea chai tea and chamomile tea?

Green tea comes from the tea plant, then is withered, steamed for fired, and dried. The finished product after drying is what you brew to make tea.

Chai tea is a term for black tea with various (usually indian) spices -- cardamom, cinnamon, and clove are all popular. The black tea is from the tea plant, the leaves are withered, bruised, fermented, and fired or dryed. Then the tea is flavored with the spices to make it into chai. Chai is often served with plenty of milk and sugar.

Chamomile tea is technically not tea at all, since all tea comes from the same plant. Chamomile is technially a tisane or infusion. It is simply the buds of the chamomile plant dried and then brewed like tea.

I ordered a shaken iced tea lemonade from Starbucks when you received it it was only lemonade when you asked the girl why she said that if you wanted tea in it you needed to specify that?

she didn't know what she was doing that's like ordering a cherry coke but having to specify you want cherry in it

---- According to a Starbuck's employee I consulted (who just happened to be in my living room when the question came up), an order for lemonade iced tea should have got you a beverage that included both lemonade and iced tea. The combined drink costs more than regular lemonade, so the price should tell you which one was written up when you were charged for it. The employee I spoke to suggests that you go back to the store where you got it and speak to the manager. Even an employee who's having a bad day ought to have handled that order properly or made good.

It depends what you put in it and what type of willow it is. White Willow Bark is the most commonly used and unless you have washed the bark really well before making the tea, you'll probably still be able to taste the outside, barky, treey taste. Mostly it is bitter, the kind of bitter and dry like 98% cocoa chocolate, but worse than that.

Is it safe to drink peppermint tea while breastfeeding?

Peppermint oil has been shown to decrease milk supply so tea should be avoided unless you suffer from oversupply issues

**Edit - Actually unless you drink GALLONS a day, peppermint tea is pretty innocuous as far as affecting breast milk supply... for MOST women. I would say continue drinking it and keep an eye on your production. Talk to your lactation consultant if you're really worried. Many women in the middle east actually apply peppermint to their nipples to help treat cracking/chapping.

***Edit - Peppermint tea contains menthol (same goes for spearmint) and should therefore be avoided when breastfeeding as you would pass the menthol on through the milk. The containing menthol can cause diarrhoea and skin irritation at the infant.
