#1, check the service manual (google it, you can find it for free in a number of places). #2, Get about 4 feet of PVC tubing at the hardware store, along with a funnel that will fit into the end of the tubing. Also, get 2 quarts of Honda Green Label manual transmission fluid (MTF) at the dealership. It should be $5-$10 each...depending on how much your local dealership wants to screw you. #3, Get under the car, but make sure that when you jack it up the car remains reasonably level. You can't just jack up the front end like you might when you change your oil. Once you've found the transmission under the car, there are two bolts, a lower and an upper. The lower one is for draining the fluid, the upper is for checking the level and for filling. #4, Get the upper bolt off first. If you can't get it off, you want to know before you get the lower bolt off and start draining. Once you get it off, shove your finger in the hole. You should be able to feel the fluid fairly close to the opening. If you can't, you might have a leak. Once you've done that, put your drain pan down and remove the lower bolt. Let the system drain for a few minutes. #5, Replace the lower bolt. Run your PVC tubing from the top of the engine bay down next to the engine and shove it into the fill hole. Leave the drain pan where it is because you will overflow from the tranny, and you want to catch this. #6, Put your funnel on the other end of the PVC tube and start to slowly pour your fluid into the transmission. Check periodically to make sure that the other end of the tube has not fallen out of the transmission, but it should be fine. #7, The manual says that you should only need about 1.6 quarts, but when I did mine it took almost 2. The point is, you need to keep pouring fluid in until it starts to pour out of the fill hole. You'll catch this overflow in the drain pan, so no worries. Once it's full, replace the bolt in the fill hole (use new crush washers when you do this, and for the drain bolt also...they're the same ones that you use on the oil drain plug). #8, you're done!

Its called a V-Tec

Well you might be able to do it by taking the moldings off in the trunk but I have always just taken the bumper right off. It is about 2 or 4 of those plastic clips and a couple boldts and the bumper is off. Then you will have full access to the boltds that hold the tail lights in place. Be careful doing it but it will only take about 5 minutes to take the bumper off.

Sounds like solenoid is not releasing or ignition switch is not moving from start to run position. If solenoid is located on top of starter remove clean plunger and replace If solenoid is on firewall replace If the starter is not fully engaging the flywheel, you'll need to either replace the starter or the Bendix/solenoid assembly. If the flywheel has been damaged, you'll need to replace that as well.

You don't need to cut the wires at all, I just got mine installed in 5 minutes with the adapter speaker plug, I got them from Amazon for 16 bucks but you save a lot of time and you don't mess the wire system of your car with the black tape and stuff.

Inside the transmission.. their is a filler on the transmission it self.. u need a hose and funnel.. fill it till it spews

10W30 in winter and 5W30 in summer. Can't go wrong! Lotsa miles? Try a synthetic. They really cut down on engine wear and make it easier for old parts to move.

The 2002 Acura RSX does not have a fuel filter

The coil pack, on your Acura, is made up of many electrical connections. The connections can lose contact or become corroded.

My super sport toyota Camry does that and we had to replace the ground to the battery

The fuse for the left and right headlights on the rsx are found in the fusebox under the hood. It is on the driver side above the battery, in the black fuse box. The cover of the fuse box will tell you exactly where the fuse is.

It is tricky, but you have to take the panel off around it. If you have little experience with stereo installation, meaning experience with extensive disassembly of the dash and internals, I wouldn't. Best to just ask a stereo shop for help.

you need to take apart the whole steering column. Take off the case, take off the starter, separate the starter with the thing on the back of the starter. Take the part you separated and put a screw driver inside of it and turn.

Gear box? Im in the process of buying an 02 acura rsx type s but my blazer xtreme ( 5spd ) was doing something similar, and it ended up being the gear box? no guarantees tho! :)

unhook the negative battery terminal and turn the key on and pump the brakes the turn the key off and hook the terminal back up and there you go

There is a technical classification for what type of oil it is, but if you are just looking to buy some for your car look for Honda Power Steering Fluid. Yes, Acura is made by Honda. You can always go to your dealership and get "Acura" fluid, but it really is just Honda fluid with a new Acura sticker on it. I wouldn't recommend any Honda or Acura dealership to get fluid from. They overcharge, so just go to a local auto parts store and look for "Honda Power Steering Fluid". Many companies make it.

its the break switch, on the break peddle under the dash, its about 80 bucks, i just replaced it on my 02 rsx type s, its a common problem

The fuse box is located directly beneath the steering column. Look for two small rotatable tabs on a large plastic panel; rotate them, and pull the panel towards the floor to remove.
