Removal
- Raise the rear
of
the
vehicle
, and make sure it is securely supported.Remove the rear
wheel
. - Remove the rear shelf.
- Remove the 2 flange nuts (A).
- Compress the damper spring with the commercially available strut spring compressor (A) according to the manufacturer's instructions, then remove the self-locking nut (B). Do not compress the spring more than necessary to remove the self-locking nut.
- Release the pressure from the strut spring compressor, then disassemble the damper as shown in the Exploded View.
- Reassemble all parts, except the spring.
- Compress the damper by hand, and check for smooth operation through a full stroke, both compression and extension. The damper should move smoothly. If it does not, replace it.
- Check for oil leaks, abnormal noises, and binding during these tests. Reassembly
- Install the damper unit on a commercially available strut spring compressor (A).
Installation is reverse of removal procedure.
On a 2nd generation 1999 the PCV valve is located on rear valve cover (facing firewall) and the driver side under a little vinyl/rubber shroud. It may help to remove the rear bolts on the plastic engine cover to gain more access.

No, this is not an acceptable swap. The 225/55-17 tires will be 1.41" too large in overall diameter and will cause your speedometer to read 63.47 mph at a true 60 mph. Handling, ride, mileage, and performance will be adversely effected. A 195/55-17 would be acceptable. MY advice is to stick with the OEM size.

Replace headlight bulb on 2001 Acura TL?
The HID bulb is a "D2R" type which comes in different colors/brightness. You can find these bulbs on-line for way cheaper then what an auto parts store or dealers sell them for. The first step in replacing the bulb is to make sure your keys are OUT of your ignition. Second step is to remove the black plastic cover (attached to to the headlight assembly) by removing the two torx screws. Third step you want to twist the black cover to unlock and remove it. Look at the the cover it will tell you. Fourth step is to twist power connection to the bulb which I believe it will be counterclockwise. Finally after the connector is removed the bulb is exposed. To remove it just simply push in on the silver wire/tab and lift to the left. This should release the bulb.
