Answer: Strattera is not at all harmful at 100mg. Basically if you can handle or avoid the side effects the result of taking 100 mg would be increased alertness, and better attention span. It really helps you concentrate. However, Strattera has a black box warning about the potential of suicidal thoughts in children. So keep this in mind, and I would not recommend taking Strattera at all if you have any form of depression, anxiety, or any form of bipolar or psychosis. And you should stop taking Strattera immediately if you start to have thoughts of suicide or sudden changes in behavior such as agitation or irratibility. Strattera does not effect the dopamine levels in the brain such as that of a stimulant medication like Adderall.

I would not recommend taking either recreationally. But the answer is no. Taking Strattera will most definetly not give you the same high as taking Adderall would. It would make you more alert and focused however. But it certainly wouldn't give you a buzz or anything like that.

I really hope that you would find other ways to occupy your time than taking stimulants such as Adderall. Adderall is very addictive and has a high rate of dependence, I know because I was prescribed this stuff for 8 years and just stopped taking it, and the withdrawal symptoms are very severe (psychosis, paranoia, panic/anxiety attacks, extreme exhaustion and hunger, and migraines)

Now I can't tell you what to do or not do with your life but out of all the drugs you could do for a cheap high amphetamines are one of the dumbest to use. They are a Schedule ll drug on the Controlled Substance Act which make them one of the highest potential for abuse, and addictiton. The only difference from Schedule 1 and 2 is that Schedule 2 lists drugs that are actually used for medical purposes. Although I strongly disagree with the use of amphetamines as a treatment for ADHD.

I started on 40mg for a week then took two pills after five days putting me up to 80 mg a day. Yikes, I am thinking now I am on a high does compared to your 25mg. I think Im going to stop it. Week two of this med and I feel irritable and angry. Negative and depressed. I also have insomnia. The only good thing about this med is that my appetitie has decreased a lot, but in the long run not worth the side effects that are bad. :(

This depends heavily on who you get your insurance from, most insurance companies will cover it to an extent.

However, Strattera is a newer drug and not yet available as a generic so you should expect to have to pay a large copay.

Also, the danger is high if you should have an emergency and end up in ER. It is confusing to doctors if you have not told them about ANY herbal medications you are on.

There is no indication that ST. John's Wort helps even with depression. Until there are more conclusive reports on this I suggest it is best to stay away from this and work with your doctor.

Definately. When I was first put on Strattera, I noticed a huge difference in my energy level. I was fatigued and felt like I had no energy to do tough tasks. Don't worry though, after about a month, I quit experiencing this fatigue and was back to normal. I have been taking Strattera for 6 months now and for some time now have had no side effects from Strattera.

You can if you have a prescription for the codeine. Remember that your ADHD makes you more likely to become addicted to things, so be careful with the codeine. Follow the doctor's directions carefully and don't take extra. Remember that codeine makes you drowsy and sluggish, also.

Personally, it changed my life and for the better. I started on 20mg for 3 dys and stepped up to 40. Max i have taken is 80 but stepped back to 60. Dont change your dosage without your doctors input especially if you have problems with high blood pressure. With the correct dosage, Strattera can make life normal...and it feels amazing!
