It depends. Drinking in moderation is widely accepted in most cultures, and few cultures react negatively to the idea of having a drink in a social context (assuming one is of legal age to do so). if your are trying to get alcohol out of your body in a hurry, you can flush your body with water by drinking significantly more than you normally do, do not overhydrate yourself though, as this can be bad for your health.
