The most common causes of buzzing in the ear (tinnitus) are Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) such as aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil). If you are taking any of those more often than once every day or so, they are probably the cause. Aspirin and ibuprofen are also hard on the stomach when taken too often. If you have chronic pain, you should see a doctor about possible alternative solutions.
Could Lidocaine cause adverse reaction?
Lidocaine is used for more than numbing. Because of lidocaine's direct effect on heart muscle cells it is used to help control the rhythm of the heart. So lidocaine can absolutely cause an adverse reaction. That is why close monitoring of patients who are being given lidocaine to treat an irregular heart rhythm is necessary.
For general local numbing procedures lidocaine is practically harmless. If it was risky, believe me, there'd be a heart monitor in every dentist's office.
can lidocaine cause chemical inblance? in 1998, my son had some dental work he had a seizure in the Dentist chair after that he start hearing and seeing things could this be from the Lidocaine?
Adverse reaction can occur following use of Parcaine. This is an anesthetic used as drops to numb the eye prior to certain exams. It may be prevented by manually closing tear ducts to prevent drops from reaching general circulation. {As you would do to prevent Timoptic drops from having a systemic beta blocker effect.) One such reaction can be bradycardia (30-40 bpm) for prolonged time ( hours). No BP or EKG documented.
You can have adverse reactions with practically anything you put in your body, either by mouth, injections, or any other routes.
I had 2 adverse reactions to lidocaine. The first, a doctor administered lidocaine and I had a severe reaction. I fainted and then started vomiting and was very disoriented for hours afterwards. It took me 3 days before I could return to work and 2 weeks before I felt completely better. 3 months later, 2 doctors who didn't believe that any would have an adverse reaction to lidocaine, administered lidocaine and marcaine during surgery. My B/P dropped very low and I ended up with a brain injury from lack of oxygen.
There are many anecdotal stories about adverse reactions to lidocaine.
Since some allergies can be controlled by the environment/climate you live in, in that sense you can. For example, a person moves to the Northwest and develops allergies they never had in Arizona. Other than that, you can get allergy shots but those are not recommended unless the allergy is extremely severe or an absolute pain in the neck on a day to day basis and even then are not a 100% guarantee to work. Medications like Zyrtec can be taken to suppress allergies, but it doesn't make them go away entirely. You can prevent 'attacks' resulting from allergies by just being cautious and smart. Just taking care to not come in contact with the things you are allergic to is probably your best bet.

Is desensitization possible for dog allergies?
I have a cat and have allergy problems partly related to this. I've discussed it with my doctor and there was no permanent 'cure' that he could recommend. But taking Allegra or Claritin for general allergy problems will work for pet allergies as well. In a severe case you can keep your pet outside, thus limiting your exposure and preventing pet dander and hair from becoming a household problem.
I am severly allergic to all animals including my 2 dogs, my horses, and everything else you can think of. I take Clariton every day which helps ALOT! I also bought Allerpet from my vet. I rub this on my dogs coat once a week and I can pick her up and hold her and I won't start sneezing. It's really great stuff for people who are allergic to their pets. It comes in two different kinds, one for dog allergies and one for cat allergies.
I have severe allergies to most animals with fur basically. I did go through the desensitization for cats and it worked. I used to break out in hives all over my body, the throat would swell up I would have asthma attacks and have what felt like extreme hay-fever. No tablets helped with this but the round of injections that went for a year or so did help and I no longer have the allergies. I have been allergy free for cats for 12 years now. It doesn't work for everyone though!
We started our yellow lab, Fargo, on desesitization shots about a year ago. I am very frustrated. He used to lick his paws until they were sore and he would limp. Also, his ears were frequently infected. Steroids worked like a miracle but since they're not recommended long term, we decided on desentization. Well, it seems like, instead of being very miserable in the spring and fall, he is now somewhat miserable all year long. I'm not sure whether to continue or not. When they tested him, they found him to be allergic to all kinds of plants, trees, as well as cats, wool, etc. I don't believe these shots work well and they are very expensive and you have to give the dog a shot every 3 weeks. I should have known because I've always heard that people who get tested for allergies are allergic to almost everything...what's the point???
What is the difference between Allegra D and Mucinex?
Allegra-D contains two drugs: fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine. Fexofenadine is an anti-histamine and pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that "dries up" your nose. Both of them are helpful if you have allergies and get the nose and eyes symptoms (e.g. runny/stuffy nose, itchy and watery eyes, etc).
Mucinex contains a medicaiton called guaiphenesin. It is an expectorant which helps loosen up mucous in your air ways so that you cough up the phlegm easier. It's most effective if you've got a chesty, productive (mucousy) cough.

Why are you suddenly allergic to everything?
You have to be allergic to something first, it doesn't just happen if you're not. You also need to be exposed to the allergen. If this is your first time you've had an allergic reaction to something, you've probably been exposed to it before at least one other time, because you don't become allergic the first time. The immune system decides to turn against it. The first time it just senses it and you become sensitized. Nothing noticeable happens though. The next time you come into contact with it, you get symptoms.

Can novacaine or vicodin cause you to break out in an itchy red somewhat swollen rash on your limbs?
I can speak only on the latter part of your question, the Vicodin. Vicodin is an opiate, and any opiate, even in smaller doses, can affect your histamine receptors and cause hives or itching, little red bumps all over your body that itch something awful.
Can you mix children's Wal-dryl Allergy and children's Vicks NyQuil?
I would not. Obviously one bottle is older than the other. Just throw the old stuff out. Your child is too important not to be sure. The systems of a child are much more sensitive than adults. Just recently many children's cough and cold remedies were pulled from the shelves because children can die of an over-dose. If your child is so sick you feel you must medicate them at least take them to a doctor.
