from Modern Catholic Dictionary by John A. Hardon, S.J. Doubleday & Co., Inc. Garden City, NY 1980
Guardian Angel. A celestial spirit assigned by God to watch over each individual during life. This general doctrine of an angel's care for each person is part of the Church's constant tradition, based on Sacred Scripture and the teaching of the Fathers of the Church. The role of the guardian spirit is both to guide and to guard; to guide as a messenger of God's will to our minds, and to guard as an instrument of God's goodness in protecting us from evil. This protection from physical evil insofar as this is useful or necessary to guard the soul from spiritual harm. A feast honoring the guardian angels has been celebrated in October, throughout the universal Church, since the seventeenth century. It now occurs on October 2.

What does it mean when you dream of a archangel?
In Roman Catholic tradition, this dream suggests that you feel the need of a spiritual warrior to protect you from forces of evil. All of this imagery symbolizes your longing for someone to take care of you or to protect you against any hostile person, group, or force that feels far beyond your own ability to withstand.
.
On the other hand, Christian tradition has seen Seraphim become a class of angels, along with Cherubim, Thrones, Dominations, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and (lowest of all) simple 'angels'.
When did the word angel start?
"The earliest form of the word is the Mycenaean a-ke-roattested in Linear B syllabic script." - Wikipedia.
How and why do you use archangel in a sentence?
Archangels represent many things. In Qabalistic studies and in Hermetic
studies, they represent parts of the Psyche, the emotional body, and much more.
Calling on them in ritual invocation enhances those parts of the spiritual system.
Angels or at least the representation of them precede the bible by a thousand years or more.
What gifts of the holy spirit did Michael The Archangel show?
There are at least two. One is fortitude (courage) and the other is fear of the Lord (wonder and awe). The reason fortitude exemplifies St. Michael is because it takes courage to lead the angels in battle against Satan and the fallen angels, which is precisely what St. Michael did: ''Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.'' Rev 12:7-9 NAB
The reason the gift of wonder and awe exemplify St. Michael is because his very name means ''Quis Ut Deus?,'' or in English, ''Who Is Like God?'' Thus his very name indicates a sense of wonder and awe that no one is greater than God.
What judaism zoroastrianism and the vedic religion what expresses the similarities among them?
All three religions are based on sacred texts that explain the relationship between humans and gods.
Short answer: yes. Lucifer was originally the most powerful archangel of all but he rebelled and his name was changed to Satan. Long answer: The word lucifer is not a name of any evil entity. It simply means bright light, or an ancient name of planet Venus. The mix up is from the book of Isaiah regarding a prophecy toward a king of Babylon where the writer calls the king a bright shining light( lucifer). Ancient kings were often thought of to be gods. Their people's attitudes were: my god can beat up your god. This particular Babylonian god-king apparently rose himself above the Hebrew people's God. Isaiah warned that such nonsense would not be tolerated by God- that the Babylonian king along with his kingdom would be toppled by the Hebrew's true God.

Yes, at least I believe they do. There is a type of birth mark thats pink and it's called 'Angels Kiss'.
How many archangels are there in the Bible?
While the only archangel named with that title in the Bible is Michael, many biblical scholars and Christian believers would say that Lucifer (now Satan) and Gabriel are also archangels.
The word "archangel" only appears "TWICE" in the King James Version of the Bible.
"For the LORD Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of THE ARCHANGEL, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first..." (I Thess.4:16 KJV)
"Yet Michael THE ARCHANGEL, when contending with the Devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, 'The LORD rebuke thee.'" (Jude 1:9 KJV)
Revelation 12 tells us that both "Lucifer" [the great Dragon; that old Serpent called the Devil, and Satan - verse 9]... and "Michael"... with whom Lucifer the Dragon fought, with armies under their command.
"And there was war in heaven: MICHAEL AND HIS ANGELS fought against the Dragon; and the DRAGON FOUGHT AND HIS ANGELS." (verse 7)
Gabriel, on the other hand, while he is also mentioned as the "third" angel of record... is never credited in the Bible with having any "host of angels" at his command.
It would seem, then, that the true number of archangels, by the biblical account, is up for debate and speculation.
Yes and no. Angels die in the similar way as Adam died when he sinned by disobeying the commandment of God, that is die a spiritual death by being cast out of the presence of God. Except there is a way back to God for mankind, but not for the fallen angels.
"God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" - 2Peter 2:4
"Angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."- Jude 1:6
The Bible never speaks of death as a cessation of existence, but rather a separation. Physical death is a separation of spirit and body, which is our portal to this current reality of space-time, and spiritual death is the separation of spirit and God and everything that is good: light, love, joy etc. and this is the death that angels die. But because angels do not possess a mortal, flesh and blood body, they cannot physically die as human beings do.
"Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire" - Psalm 104:4
"To which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" - Hebrews 1:13,14
Answer:
No, angels don't die. They are "spirit" beings.
"Are they not all ministering spirits..." (Heb.1:14).
Nowhere in the Bible is the term "spiritual death" mentioned.
According to Jesus Christ, "spirit can't die." Speaking of the coming resurrection, the prophesied time when the Children of God will be "changed" from "mortal" to "immortal" beings [changed into SPIRIT]...
"...Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit IS SPIRIT." (John 3:5-6)
"...we shall all be changed... and this mortal must put on immortality." (I Cor.15:51-53)
Jesus says:
"...they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: NEITHER CAN THEY DIE ANY MORE: FOR THEY ARE EQUAL UNTO THE ANGELS; and are the Children of God, being the Children of the Resurrection." (Luke 20:35-36)
Addendum to aboveAngels are created beings who do not die but live for eternity, some in heaven and some in hell. What does 81 mean to a hells angel?

What is the most important aim for a Muslim?
The most important aim of a Muslim is to win the Pleasure and Good-Will of Almighty Allah by sincerely following the commands of Almighty Allah and obeying the teachings of the last prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAW).
I'm not religious myself, but if I had to look from that aspect it really depends on what you define by Angel.
Many people look at things differently, such as if they had a vision of a dead family member who helped them in life. Is that an Angel to you? Or is an Angel the selected spirits of God to help whoever may need it, connected by family they once were a part of or if they are strangers.
There are no solid facts about Angels or if they even exist, so for you believers out there, you just have to believe in what you think an Angel is and stick by it. If you believe an Angel is a pure spirit, then you should believe so.
But I would of course assume that if Angels previously were human souls, either every soul that went to heaven become angels or there would be the certain select few who have shown that their actions are out of kindness and the well-being of others, the ones God know would never betray him.
I hope this helps.

Actually, while an angel is in mortal form on earth, they can be affected by one thing: qeres. The Egyptians had a perfume called qeres that was used during mummification to provide the first 'sweet breathe' of the afterlife. Qeres is extremely rare substance because its recipe has been lost, but small amounts still exsist. this perfume is a lethal poison to an angel (fallen or otherwise), and if poured over, say, the blade of a knife, could in fact terminate an angel. While non-lethal to humans, it can burn or poison anyone who carries the Nephilitic gene. (see Genesis 6). If you are still thinking that all Nephilim died in the flood, think about Goliath, or King David's "men of great reknown". But yes, qeres can kill an angel. And no afterlife awaits them either. This isn't some role-playing B.S. or T.V. show, this is legit. Go ask your local Catholic priest if he knows what the 'Hashilim project' is, or the real reason Jews (who are the most dominant carriers of the Nephilitic gene) were exterminated. Or why most children born with synaethesia carry the gene. Or why Mengele expirimented on Hebrew twins. You may not get answers, but you will be asking the right questions...
I think the original answerer misunderstood the question, or just rather ran off on an tangent unrelated. Killing an Angel is really something that I would not recommend unless you want the wrath of God unleashed on you. The rest of the original answers, well, have fun with that.
the wrath of god is a joke Christians say to make them feel important and better than everyone else and also I'd like to remind everyone that a god has special rules that prevents them from harming a full human
I think much of the above is well-intentioned junk. One guy feels that a magic potion will certainly kill angels but is harmless to humans, though no one has done it or no evidence is supplied. Another guy thinks gods have rules about killing humans. What about the Great Flood, the Egyptian plagues, the Egyptrian Army pursuing the Israelites, or Sodom & Gomorrah? Rules, indeed!
What did archangel Ezekiel do?
He was a prophet and a leader of the Jewish community in the land of Judah, before and during the First Destruction (some 2500 years ago), and for a brief period after that, in the Babylonian exile. He warned about the Destruction beforehand. See also the attached Related Link.
