  This drag is created by the uneven surface of the aircraft, like opening, obstruction on the skin of the fuselage and wings. There are different types of parasitic drags, these types of drags are on the following:

  1. Form drag
  2. Skin friction
  3. interference drag
  1. Form drag

  Profile drag is also known as form drag. Profile drag is the drag produced by the action of the rotor blades being forced into the oncoming airflow. If a rotor blade was cut in half from the front of the blade (leading edge) to the rear of the blade (trailing edge), the resulting shape when looking at the cross-section is considered to be the blade "profile". For a rotor blade to produce lift, it must have an amount of thickness from the upper skin to the lower skin, which is called the "camber" of the blade. In general terms the greater the camber, the greater the profile drag.

  This is because the oncoming airflow has to separate further to pass over the surfaces of the rotor blade. The blade profile for a given helicopter has been designed as a compromise between producing sufficient lift for the helicopter to fulfil all of its roles, and minimising profile drag. To alter the amount of lift produced by the rotor system, the angle of attack must be altered. As the angle of attack is increased then the profile drag also increases.

  1. Skin friction

  Skin friction drag is caused by the actual contact of the air particles against the surface of the aircraft. This is the same as the friction between any two objects or substances. Because skin friction drag is an interaction between a solid (the airplane surface) and a gas (the air), the magnitude of skin friction drag depends on the properties of both the solid and the gas. For the solid airplane, skin fiction drag can be reduced, and airspeed can be increased somewhat, by keeping an aircraft's surface highly polished and clean. For the gas, the magnitude of the drag depends on the viscosity of the air. Along the solid surface of the airplane, a boundary layer of low energy flow is generated. The magnitude of the skin friction depends on the state of this flow.

  1. Interference drag

  Interference drag is a component of parasitic drag which is caused by vortices. Whenever two surfaces meet at a sharp angle on an airplane, the airflow has a tendency to form a vortex. Drag is created by acceleration of air in to this vortex, by doing this the aircraft will form a low pressure area. With the help of primary methods interference drag could be reduced, this method will include eliminating any sharp angles on the aircraft by a certain means.drag

There are different species of parasitic worms humans can contract. In general, the passed worm is long and very thin. Depending on the species, the worms can be any shade of brown or yellow, but are often clear or white.

an adult louse can live off the head for up to 2 days but a nymph can for only a few hours.. if you wanna shorten tht it wud b good idea to lower humidity by turning an ac on in the room.. this will shorten its life and or kill it quick because they survive much better in humidity.. just wash the bed sheets and everything first though

It depends on the age of the puppy. But if i were you i wouldn't put flea treatment on them until they are at least 8 weeks of age. I use frontline plus on all of my dogs and cats.

You can use some special cream (for guinea pigs), it will be available in Pets at Home and other pet stores. Other than that, do weekly or daily inspections of your guinea pig to see if anythings wrong/showing symptoms, keep the cage and your guinea pig/s clean by brushing them or bathing them (but only bathe them around every 2 months unless they are really dirty / if a vet told you to) , and also, keep your hands clean because you would maybe get ringworm from your pet ONLY if your pet has ringworm (otherwise, don't worry about it but still wash your hands after playing with them).

First of all what age puppy and breed are you referring to? Puppies, especially young puppies should be taken to a vet before being given ANY sort of medication and this includes dewormers. Younger puppies have limited immune systems inherited from their mother which can be adversly affected by medicating them.

Well that is hard to say. I am pretty sure that they can only survive on peoples heads because they need blood to survive. That is why your head itches when you have them because they suck your blood like ticks. So I would say not very long if a little.

A table spoon of food grade diatomaceous earth in wet food two times a day for a week. It'll clear out all vermin plus it's chock full of trace minerals and calcium. It is advisable to check with your vet concerning how to treat worms.

"DE" is simply powdered diatoms which contains vital silicon, without which life cannot exist.

Look up the wonders of DE, you'll be amazed. It can kill fleas, roaches and bed bugs...but also reverse osteoporosis.

To give them a bath with flea shampoo you should wait (like the label should say) until the kitten is older then 12 weeks. An alternative to flea shampoo would be just to wash your kitten with dawn soap, which you can use before it is 12 weeks. An easy way to do this is to wrap your kitten in a towel (to protect yourself and the kitten) and submerge it (except for the head). Most of the fleas will drown, then use the soap to wash your kitten.

Use the preventic collar. Ive had good success. I used the frontline type products.....they do kill ticks after they bite your animal. Both my dogs still ended up testing positive for lyme disease while using that chemical stuff......so I did not see the point. Besides.....ask yourself this.....would you put that stuff on your own skin and let it soak in? I wouldnt. I try not to poison myself....and frankly....my dogs mean too much to me.

Fleas can also carry tapeworms, so noticing small rice-like specks in their feces or around their rear area could not only be a sign of worms, but of fleas as well. In severe cases, your pet may be lethargic and his gums could turn a pale color. Many pets either are or can become allergic to flea saliva, so watch also for any allergic reactions that may occur suddenly.If you notice any of these symptoms, specially the later ones, please seek out your vet as soon as possible. Step2 If you can catch them early enough, you should be able to control and eliminate the flea problem easily. However, it will take patience and endurance. This first natural remedy, using a tonic of lemons and water needs to be applied daily to your pet, but should not be used around any extremely irritated areas or any broken skin/open scabs from scratching.Slice and boil 1 lemon for each pint of water. All should work well, although the straight castile soap with no added ingredients would be best until you have tested the others on your pet. Step4 If your pet has fleas, then you can be certain your house does as well. While throughly vacuuming and cleaning any area your pet may have traveled, especially where they sleep, will help with the problem, keep in mind that fleas can jump and are able to leap over large distances. Rather than call in an exterminator (which in extreme cases, you still may need to do) try this environmentally safe flea trap.Find a lamp and place a low watt (60 watts or less) light bulb in it. Turn the light on and leave it shining all night, so that it is the only light in any given room. Place water in a light colored shallow pan. Place this pan on the floor directly under the light, rigging the light so it shines in it. Add a tablespoon of dish soap to the water, stirring so it mixes well. Let sit overnight. You may need to do this in several rooms.Fleas will be attracted to the light and will jump into the shallow pan, and become trapped. Keep the pan in place each night until no fleas are found in the morning. Step5 Capsanem is just one type of beneficial Nematode used to kill fleas. Shady areas in yards are a haven for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. If your pet is allowed out of the house this is more than likely the place they picked up the fleas and so must also be treated. While sunlight will kill fleas, the shady areas of your yards will need to be treated. Chemicals are available, but it is more environmentally safe and better for your pet, to use a natural combatant. Nematodes are microscopic worms that thrive on flea larvae, eggs and cocoons. Available at most gardensupply stores, they will need to be applied to the yard at least once a month or until all fleas are gone.Another all natural product available is Diatomaceous Earth. Made from the finely ground fossils of prehistoric fresh water diatoms, this fine powder kills common household and garden pests like fleas,roaches and ants while still being safe for all other animal life. This will need to be applied more often, specially after any rainfall. Adding a thin layer of salt to your carpet and leaving it on for a couple of days before vacuuming will hopefully kill the fleas and eggs there. The way this works is it basically desiccate them! A flea collar can be made by rubbing a few drops of one of the following into an ordinary webbing or rope collar or even a doggy bandanna: eucalyptus oil, Tea Tree Oil, citronella, lavender or geranium. This should be done weekly.
