There is a ranger class which utilizes bows but the bows must be obtained separately. Furthermore bows aren't used the conventional way, instead they are used like melee weapons and fire no arrows unfortunately. The ranger class requires rank 10 rep with Sandsea, which is like 300,000 rep points.

There is:

Falconer's bow, which is members only and costs 25k from the good shop in SwordHaven castle, and also requires rank 10 good.

Plasmid Bow, one of the few non-member bows. Dropped by Swamp Thing which can be found in the areas Mountain, Lab, and Fire River.

Festive Holiday Bow, non member, can be found in Quibble Coinbiters shop in Battleon, and costs 5000 gold. Available only seasonally around Christmas if they choose to offer again.

To get close to the correct size you need the measurement from tip to tip, yours is 66 inches. Take the tip-to-tip measurement and subtract 4 inches for a string length of 62-inch string. This will get you close, for the string length needs to be changed by adding or subtracting twist to get the correct brace height. The brace height is the measurement from the handle to the string. The bow manufactures sets the specifications for brace height. If brace height is unknown and pull weight is known you and twist or untwist the string to get the correct pull weight at 28-inch draw.

When someone points the bow tilted up when drawing the arrow then brings it down to the target as they complete the draw.

This is frowned upon in any range, since indoors it would destroy the ceiling and outdoors it would shoot off dangerously far in the event the shooter accidentally releases it. It would be considered a bad technique and usually occurs when a shooter is using a bow much stronger than they should be.

Sky drawing is commonly wrongly associated with the Japanese shooting technique where they draw back with a raised the bow and arrow before releasing. The key difference here is they keep the arrow parallel to the ground, whereas sky drawing has the arrow at a angle toward the sky.

The Bear Scout bow is a twin cam bow that can be adjusted for both draw length and draw weight. As the draw length increases so does the draw weight and vise-versa. The draw length and weight is determined by the amount of rotation the cams experience during a full draw cycle. For example, If the cams rotate 270 deg it will have a longer and stronger draw than if the cams only rotate 180 deg. With twin cam bows this rotation is determined by the % of string on each side of the cam. The front side of the cam contains the string that will dead end on the other limb while the rear side of the cam contains the string used to nock the arrow. The scout bow is equipped with cams that allow easy movement of the string back-n-forth from front to rear.

First before adjusting, note the position of the brass nock that is pinched on the string somewhere by each cam. This position is important to remember for adjusting your bow in the correct direction. In order to adjust the rotation of the cams, the bow must be disassembled as stated in manual (push down on limbs and pull cam assembly off). Then unwind the string from the cam. You will notice that the cam can slide along the string. If you want to shorten the draw length and decrease the draw weight, then slide the string so the brass nock is on the front side of the cam. If you want to lengthen the draw length and increase the draw weight, then slide the string so the brass nock is on the rear side of the cam. Then do the same for the opposite cam. Note that the brass nocks must be in the same location on each cam. Then reassemble as stated in the manual. Tada your done and ready to shoot.

Some kinds of rock salt can kill an animal or make it ill if it is swallowed. Other rock salts (mostly the more expensive kinds) will not harm animals. Very few rock salts are friendly, if any. It is best for the including the animals, to just let the ice melt. And it can kill them because it has something in it that can harm them.

It doesn't really matter if you shoot 500 arrows a year or 500 arrows a

week; all you have to do is keep your string well-waxed with beeswax,

and examine it every so often for fraying (the string starts to get

fuzzy) and broken strands. Examine the cables for wear, and look at the

teardrops once in a while to see if the cable is pulling out. As for

storage: compounds were designed to be left strung, so don't worry about

that. However, don't let it lie around someplace where it can undergo

extremes of temperature and humidity---for instance, hanging it up in

the back of a pickup-truck gun-rack probably wouldn't be too good for

it. Oh, and take it in to your favorite local pro shop, and have them

check the cams and lube up the axles once in a while.
