There is a bolt on clamp down the side of the battery, remove this and the leads and battery can be lifted out. Looking into the same thing myself at the moment and by most mechanics I've been told that the bearing in the turbo has a top feed for oil and a bottom oil drain, this can get blocked, also there is a filter before the oil gets back to the engine which can get blocked, so check the drain pipe and filter, filter may need replaced, at the minute your turbo could be burning up the oil that should be going back into your engine

Yes, but it would cost a lot more money than its worth. you would have to buy the transmission, flywheel, a clutch, pedal assembly, clutch master cyliner, slave clyinder, and the line to connect them, most likely you would need different drive shafts, the floor pan may be different (which would require some work with a hammer), the mounts are almost certainly different (which means you will need a custom mount), you will probably need the ecu from a manual transmission car, and you will need to cut a hole in the firewall for the clutch master cylinder. this is all assuming that the the 2.8 motor was offered with quattro and a manual transmission in the first place. I know I've driven an A6 2.7t with a six speed and quattro before, so its likely that trans would work for the swap. Really though, its a much better idea to just buy something like an Evo or an STi (wrx if you're on a budget) if all wheel drive fun is what you're looking for. these cars are much easier to work on than audi's, weigh significantly less, have more aftermarket support, and are considerably cheaper to maintain. There is one fuse for the entire power seat system. Most likely the switch is broken or the wires between the switch and the seat are shorted---they run through the door jamb and tend to wear out from constantly being flexed back and forth. Try jiggling the switch back and forth in the direction you want it to work, while opening and closing the driver's door slowly. You will probably hit on one door position where the seat back motor activates. The long-term fix is to remove the inner door panel and repair the broken wires. 2) Lift vertically the U-shaped molding covering the accordion molding behind the steering wheel

3) Unscrew the two screws holding in the instrument cluster.

4) Pull the instrument cluster straight toward you

5) Carefully disconnect the harnesses in the back of the instrument cluster

6) Remove instrument cluster

7) Swap out the bulb (its not a standard T5 wedge bulb, you have to get them from the dealer)

8) Re-assemble

If it is the 3800 engine, it is located behind the harmonic balancer on the front of the engine. You may need a special puller to remove the balancer. If it is the 2.8L engine. It is in the engine block between the engine blocks rt bank and the transaxle. It is very hard to remove this sensor. It has a tendancy to crack and break off which will force you to remove the oil pan to remove the broken peices.

1/ Slide the seats all the way forward and remove the guard's at the back of the seat tracks located at the back of the seat's.

To do this there is a plastic plug that covers the screw, remove the plug.

Now take out the screw with a phillip's head small screw driver, take the Guard off.

Next slide the seat right back under the seat there is a pin holding in the seat, Remove the metal cerclip that hold the pin in and pull out the pin by sliding it out of the bottom of the seat and now the seat can slide out of the track's and out of the car Repeat this with the other side and make sure that you unplug the seat sensor plugs under the seat before you lift the seats out.
