Auditioning

The x factor auditions are open auditions,

and if you keep cheackin' online, when the producers have finalised the dates they post them online, so you will beable to cheack them out,

so you dont have to apply, you can just turn up on the days the auditions are being held.

The X Factor will be running in 2012. Auditions are in March and April.

if you mean open auditions, this is very unlikely. Closed auditions are quite a bit more likely, as open auditions tend to be crowded, hectic and stressful for a casting director. Some time ago a Hollyoaks audition attracted 20000 hopefuls, and there were only a few parts going. Your best shot is to buy a copy of contacts, or, if you're on a serious budget, you can borrow one from a library. Contacts is published by the spotlight and contains loads of useful know-how and agents information etc. Also keep your eyes open you never know what might pop up out of the blue. Good luck with your quest to soap stardom :)

Yes.

They are so secret, though, that the people who try out for a part, such as the companion, do so without being able to inform anyone.

This is Karen Gillan talking of it:

If the Disney corp. , by some miracle, didn't already have thousands of kids who want to act or write for it, then maybe they'd give the number.

But they don't generally give a fast number to get to an audition, so of course, they don't want or need more actors.

Definatly not, I went and I met the agent of Top Model Lisa Cant, Pat Collins. This is a real competition. I won 3rd place.

This is a total scam. Please don't fall for this. Hundreds of people attend these every year and get scammed. All they do is try to make you attend a conference for a lot of money. Do a little research, agencies do not make you pay to be seen.

I went to the audition with a friend - they target anyone who looks gullible enough to pay - they don't care about your talent at all. If you really want to get in the business just contact local agents directly. You never need to pay for anything up front.

Yeah, Taylor did go for the role of Hannah but it got given to Miley maybe coz her dad had already gt the part so he pulled the strings but I refuse to believe to believe it's because she's a better singer. I love Taylor and say what you want but that girl can sing.

if you go onto Google and type in "film auditions in (location) for (age) year olds" it will bring up loads of different links that's the best way to do it.

but if anyone else has better ways plz tell me!!!

Well in edmonton it is in May we do not know the day yet but we will tell it when the time comes closer

*Actually all the auditions are usually early May. I suggest checking the website once it becomes 2013. Plus the auditions for Edmonton and Calgary switch each year, making 2013 in Calgary.

Well, it used to be that you have to be 16 to be on the show, and that you can't be over the age of 28. But as of this year, (2010) The new season (season 10) you can be as young as 15 up to 28. Also, I heard on E New ( the Soup) That the new judge taking over for Simon will be Justin Bieber! YAY! I love Justin Bieber!

types of audit approach

you can get them on any ticket website but if you buy them this year you cant see it till 2016 because of the long waiting list :)

Miley Cyrus auditioned for Hannah Montana when she was barely 12 years old.

Yes. I have been in diferent show and theaters in Canada. If you go to auditions.com there are some auditions for us kids.

Yes in 2010 Louis Tomlinson Auditioned for the x-factor and got through to boot camp. Unfortunately he was sent home at boot camp but stopped because he was wanted for and "interview". As it turned out they really wanted to tell him that they were putting him in a band with 4 other lads which are now known as One Direction. They took third in to competition but Simon ended up signing them anyways.

Hate to break it to ya, but I read on Rick Riordan.com that all castings are final. Besides, no one even knows if there is going to be another movie after TLT. Although someone said Rick came to their school nad he said it depends on how well this movie does.

But he probably meant the auditions for TLT. They haven't even had preveiws for The sea of Monsters! So look it up in May or June. They'll probably have the answer there. But look it up every week in case they come up with the date. Because you don't want to miss it!

I don't really know any plays but I went to my local library and got this book called Encore More Winning Monologues for young actors by Peg Kehret which has really good monologues for both boys and girls. For school I'm doing one from that book. If you have a time limit they are all different time length's. I know you can get one of them for free if you go on google and type in Bald is Beautiful by Peg Kehret free and the first thing that pops up will be a link to a blog that has the whole monologue on it. I know it is a bad name but it's a good monologue.
