I currently manage Ethan, as well, I know that Ethan Bortnick is not autistic.

How can people get autism by watching too much TV?
No, obviously a person cannot 'get' autism by watching too much TV.
Autism isn't something that someone can contract or develop, Autism is a neurological disorder so a result of how the brain develops in the womb. TV thus has zero link with Autism.
Is it ok to leave a 13 year old to watch an 8 year old with autism?
ask yourself, "Is it ok for a 13 year old left to watch a 8 year old", the autism part shouldn't make a difference.
This really depends on the children. If the 13 year old is very mature and is capable (and willing) to look after this child, then there shouldn't be a problem.
I am sorry but i have to disagree, autism does change a lot. If the 13 year old is related to the autistic child then yes...because he or she may know what to do if the child should through a severe tantrum! I have a younger sister who is 6 but has a mind of a 2 year old....i wouldn't dare leave her alone with anyone that doesn't know her personally...
How many autistic people turn out to be brilliant?
Over several I suppose if they learn to achieve something.
Does the effect of Asperger's syndrome change?
Yes and greatly depending on the person. When i was a kid I was very avoidant of people and would cry if my name was called or when I had to talk on the phone. I would also remember having to attend Speech classes and a year of seeing a pyschologist.
During my teen to young adulthood people couldn't tell that I had AS or that I was very quiet or studious.
In most cases people with AS tend to become more "normal" but those who may not have Speech or be socialized with others may not experience the same growth and in fact become worse in the symptoms of AS.
AS is most noted for the individual having intense interest with very specific things and being socially awkward because they don't know what to do.
What is a non spectrum disorder?
A "non-spectrum disorder" means a disorder that is not part of the spectrum being discussed. For example, it could refer to the disorders that are not part of the autism spectrum or disorders that are not part of the schizophrenia spectrum. (I have seen the term used in both these situations, so it depends on the context.) Non-spectrum disorders could refer to attention disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other developmental disorders.
Is there any genetic link in autism?
Yes, genetic influences on autism are believed to be 74%-98%. This figure comes from a large-scale research project on twins, where one twin was allistic and the other was Autistic. We do not know exactly what factors lead to autism, but as a normal human variant it was bound to be genetic.
Can a nornal child turn into autistic child?
Firstly, it's offensive for you to imply that autistic people are abnormal - autistic people are different to neurotypical people, not less than.
A person is born autistic, it is not something that happens to 'normal' people or something that you turn into, you are always autistic.
What part of the brain is damaged when you have Asperger's Syndrome?
First, people with Asperger's Syndrome usually view themselves as having a brain that functions differently, not one that is damaged. There are differences in the brain, but that does not mean it is brain damage. It could be simply a brain that develops atypically.
Some studies indicate that people with autism or Asperger's Syndrome have brains that are different, but not damaged, although some individuals could have brain damage, as well. Some studies indicate there is damage. So, it is possible that brain damage causes Asperger's Syndrome in some cases but not in others. In addition, since people with autism and Asperger's Syndrome are more likely than average to have certain comorbid conditions, such as mental retardation and epilepsy, it can be more difficult to determine whether brain differences are attributable to the autism spectrum disorder or one of the comorbid conditions.
Van Krevelen suggested that autism results from the combination of autism genes and brain damage, while Asperger's Syndrome comes from the autism genes without brain damage. At least one study provides some support for this theory, but it could be a matter of the severity and extent of the brain damage. So, more research would need to be done to confirm this theory.
There are studies indicating that Asperger's Syndrome is a right hemisphere disorder. (A discussion of this theory and mention of various studies can be found in the book Asperger Syndrome: A Gift or a Curse? by Viktoria Lyons amd Michael Fitzgerald.) They discuss the functions of the right hemisphere and left hemisphere, describing how behaviors could be similar to autism and Asperger's Syndrome if there were a right hemisphere impairment.
Several studies have shown that the amygdala is different. Brain imaging studies show that the amygdala reaches adult-size in boys with autism years before it happens in boys who do not have autism. Amaral and Schumann found a lower number of neurons in the amygdala in males with autism.
Some studies have shown differences in the frontal lobe cortex, the hippocampus, the cerebellum, the brain stem, etc. There are multiple differences.
No. The real drug responsible for Autism is a psychedelic called bufotenin, or 5-HO-DMT. It is naturally produced by their brains, eliminating serotonin in the process.
Can Asperger's Syndrome be mistaken for high IQ?
I think it would be unlikely that Asperger's Syndrome (AS) would be misidentified as high IQ; however, a person with Asperger's Syndrome might also have a high IQ. A person with AS will have various symptoms, some of which might cause a misdiagnosis of an attention deficit disorder (ADD or ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a learning disability, or other conditions. As an example, it seems unlikely that a medical professional would explain rarely speaking, an intense interest in doorknobs, lack of eye contact, or experiencing extreme anxiety when lights flash as having a high IQ.
A person can have both Asperger's Syndrome and a high IQ, only Asperger's Syndrome, or only a high IQ. Some people with Asperger's Syndrome have a high IQ. Most people with a high IQ do not have Asperger's Syndrome.
Who are some famous people with asperger syndrome?
There are many famous people with autism, not all are open about their autism. Some of the most famous people with autism include Ladyhawke, Albert Einstein, Daryl Hannah, Stanley Kubrick, Heather Kuzmich, Travis Meeks, Adam Young, Temple Grandin, Courtney Love, Marty Balin, Matt Savage, Issac Newton, Israel Paskowitz, and Satoshi Tajiri.
How long does it take for a teenager to develop Autism and why?
Autism is a neurological difference, thus a person is born autistic - a teenager cannot develop autism, they were either born autistic or not.
How long does it take to not talk and end up autistic and why?
A person doesn't 'end up' autistic, a person is born autistic. Not all autistic people are non-verbal either.
I apologize ahead of time for the really long answer.
Autism is a complex neurological developmental disorder affecting communication, social skills and sensory processing. As it currently stands there are no definitive tests to properly diagnose autism and an autism diagnosis needs to be based off of observed symptoms. these symptoms are based on human communication, social structure and experiences and not on those of other animals.
so to determine of a dog can or does have autism there first must be a criteria for autism in canines that is based around the canine social and communication infrastructure. to create this one must have extensive knowledge of canine psychology, growth, development and learning. one must have a full understanding of how canines communicate and develop these communications skills, many impairments would have to be observed first by the breeder and must not be due to lack of proper socialization and training.
I am currently working on my own canine autism criteria but it is a criteria that is A very hard to fit and B requires an extensive history of the dog in questions behaviors and social interactions as far back as 3 weeks of age, ability to observe the dog in question.
I will post those later but a simple answer is no because autism is a human nuerodevelopemental disorder. the canine brain, communication, social communication development and social structure and even with proper criteria being written with out an extensive history of development, and impairments the are persistent despite proper socialization, training, health, nutrition and exercise daily it is frankly impossible to say.
Can you get autism for a vaccination later in life?
Autism is a neurological difference, as such you are born autistic and you cannot become autistic. Autism and vaccinations are completely unrelated.
How does autism manifest itself in behaviour?
Autism manifests in behavior through a range of characteristics, including difficulties with social interaction, communication challenges, and restricted or repetitive behaviors. Individuals may struggle to understand social cues, leading to challenges in forming relationships. They may also display intense focus on specific interests or engage in repetitive movements, such as hand-flapping or rocking. Each person with autism is unique, so behaviors can vary widely in expression and intensity.
Should people treat autism as a handicap?
My vote is no they shouldn't. Not every autistic person is at the level of an intellectual person. Some are intellectual. Many autistics have an high IQ level than an average intellectual. Autistic people do have meltdowns for a reason (sensory overloads, crowded areas, schedue changing, if a schedule is too demanding or if they are not getting enough down time and alone time, too much socializing). People are the main thing they struggle with.
Do autistic parents born autistic babies?
Autism is thought to have a strong genetic link, especially on the fathers side. Autistic people are more likely to have Autistic children, but that's not always the case.
Can a 2 year old get rid of autism?
No - no one can 'get rid' of autism.
Autism is a neurological difference...the only way to 'get rid' of autism then would be to 'get rid' of a persons brain, which obviously isn't an option. Although autism can be a disability for many it can also be an advantage to many, even if a 2 year old is severely affected by their autism they may improve over time.
Does it mean you are damaged if you were just diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome?
No, absolutely not. It means that in some ways your brain functions differently than the brains of people without Asperger's Syndrome. Simon Baron-Cohen, a psychologist who studies autism and Asperger's Syndrome, suggests that people with autism or Asperger's Syndrome have extreme male brains - very high on systemizing and very low on empathizing.
Who is the autism expert with the first name of Temple?
Temple Grandin is a person known for having autism. She has written several books on the subject and given speeches about it.
