What conditions would plants and animals have to adapt to in a humid continental climate region?
Animals that live in a humid continental climate include deer, horses, squirrels, chipmunks, mice and rats. Continents that have this type of climate include North America and South America. They live in areas that have grassland, mountains and deserts.
Does a meerkat walk on two legs?
meerkats have up to 6-8 babies so that they can create more to improve there existence
Where does carbon dioxide leave the body?
The red blood cells in your body contain oxygen and carbon dioxide. So, as the red blood cells travel through your bloodstream, the oxygen travels through to your heart, then your lungs, along with the oxygen.
Why aren't baboon butts hairy?
The ones with the redder, more hairless butts were the ones who attracted more mates and had more offspring. Those offspring would be favored because they, on the average would have redder, more hairless butts than the rest.
How many people could survive a baboon attack?
Baboons are neutrally defensive, so they don't attack humans unless severely provoked. Most scientists believe that baboons aren't strong enough to fight back, so many people could survive a baboon attack, but few people die from a baboon attack, especially adult baboons.
It is to attract mates. Females mate more frequently with males with brighter, more colorful rumps. There's a study in which the researchers painted the genitals of baboons in Tanzania and studied the female responses; they found that the more turquoise the more the females were attracted. Furthermore, in geladas (closely related to baboons; sometimes called gelada baboons), the amount and intensity of the red marking on the chest is directly proportional to testosterone levels, so it is certainly in the realm of possibility that the rump coloring is also related to testosterone levels. So from an evolutionary perspective, if coloring corresponds to testosterone, a male with more coloring is likely more capable of defending a female and her offspring, making them more appealing mates.
What is the African name for baboon?
There are over 2000 languages spoken in Africa, far too many to list. In Zulu the word is 'Imfene' and in Swahili it is 'Nyani'. In Shona a large male baboon is 'Mbombo' or a large female baboon is a 'Mhandakadzi'
What causes sharp edge teeth in people?
its because of lack of calcium most of the time. you should probably talk to your dentist more about it if its causing you any pain or oral problems.
Why does a mandrill have a red and blue face?
The most brilliantly marked mandrills are the males. Mandrills (even the females) have more intense coloration than any of their relatives (Drill being the closest), The colors on both their faces and their rumps are used to communicate emotional states and status.
Yes. Crocodiles will eat anything that gets near them or the water, including baboons.
my father died and i was told i have a trust fund, how do i get this for college im only 16yrs old
A baboon looks somewhat like a monkey ,and has a pink bottom , and has hair around it's face.
What happens when you get bitten by a brown recluse spider?
Go to the emergency room immediately (putting ice on the bite area isn't a bad idea, but it is not a substitute for proper treatment). The bite of a brown recluse can cause necrosis; it's bad for an adult and can easily be fatal to an infant.
Why is sharp knife more affected than a dull knife?
Bacause the Sharp Knife has greater pressure than a dull knife.
it cuts better because it is sharper. the force exerted on it is greater than it would be if it was blunt.
The area on the tip of the blade is small meaning the pressure exerted is all at the end of the tip making it easier to use. (the force on both knives is the same)!
Answer
When we cut any vegetable or fruit with a sharp knife suface area will be less so force applied is more and pressure will also be more (force is directly proportional to pressure). Thus, vegetables or fruits are cutted more perfectly.
Answer
It depends a bit on what is being cut and why.
Imagine trying to cut a tomato with something really blunt, like a ruler.
It wouldn't cut, but rather crush its way through, leaving a considerable mess.
The sharper the blade, the less crushing there is, and you get nicer, more useful parts from the cut.
If you're trying to cut something that's stronger/harder than fruits and vegetables, then a blunt blade would need to be pushed a lot harder against the surface before it starts to cut. If you want to do a bit of wood carving, you might simply not be able to push hard enough to get any "bite" if the blade isn't sharp enough.
You can relate high pressure to concentrated force. So, in case of sharper blades, this concentrated force weakens the surface more effectively and hence easily cuts through.
because the blade is thinner and its easier to cut with a thinner blade than a wider blade, it all comes down to atoms and how many atoms wide the knife it, the fewer atoms wide the knife is, the easier it will be to slice through something with it.
It's easier because a sharp knife will cut through more quickly and accurately, than a blunt knife will take longer and it won't cut very well.
Because there is less surface area in contact and the force applied is being concentrated on the less area.
The same reason that it's easier to cut an apple with a sharp knife that with a blunt knife because sharp knife is very sharp and it is easy to cut but with blunt knife it is very hard
It is said that a sharp knife is better, and safer, than a dull one because with a dull knife, you have to work very hard to cut and that usually means sawing away at whatever you are cutting. A dull knife is more likely to slip and cut you because it is not easy to cut with. A sharp knife will do the job in one swipe and not much movement.
A sharp knife has a smaller edge than a blunt knife. When dealing with fracture or tearing, a smaller edge means cutting a smaller area. On a molecular scale this means breaking fewer bonds, and less energy to separate the object into pieces.
The sharp edge is the thin edge. The thinness is important because it needs to be thin to get between the molecules to 'cut'. The blunt edge is too thick to do this.
Because the knife is sharp.
Why is this question categorized in baboons?
If you apply 10 lbs of pressure on a blunt knife, the pressure's spread over the area of the knife which is in contact with the meat, where as the sharp knife has a much smaller area, making the same pressure localised, allowing cutting to be done much easier.
Maybe because its sharp
cuz.
A sharp knife has a smaller area on the edge of the blade, so you get a higher pressure with an equal amount of force. This means you can puncture the skin of a fruit with less force if you use a sharp knife.
What was the first month on the roman calendar?
The very first calendar established by Romulus the founder of Rome and its first king (the calendar of Romulus) only had ten months: March to December (Martius to Decembris). The month was called Decembris because it was the tenth month. The name is derived from decem, the Latin for ten.
The second king of Rome, Numa Pomplius, introduced a new calendar (the calendar of Numa) and created twelve months by adding Ianuarius and Ferbuarius (January and February). The year still started in March and December remained the tenth month.
Baboons are rapacious scroungers and will eat any crops or small animals they find.
Can you trust your gut feelings?
yes you can.i should have listened to mine not so long ago and i would NT have ended up in the mess that i did.my "gut feeling"was telling me something about some one and i choose to ignore it but infact i was right all along.go with it what ever it is telling you,its seldom wrong.call it a sixth sence! i chose to ignore mine because i did NT want to believe that what it was telling me was true but the truth comes out eventually
Can you explain the structure of bug life cycle?
The Bug life cycle consists the following stages
1)New
2)Open
3)Assign
4)Test
5)Reopened or Rejected or Differed
6)Verified
7)Closed
1)New : When the Bug is detected by the tester it is in the new stage. It is not still approved by testing lead.
2)Open:If the testing lead finds the bug as genuine he assigns it to the open stage
3)Assign:The lead then assigns the code containing the bug for debugging to a developer and puts it in the assign stage
4)Test:The software developer may debug the code and send it back to testing .And puts it into Test stage.
5)Differed: The software developer may not fix the bug and instead may be of the opinion of fixing the bug in the next release .In this case he puts it in to differed stage.
Differ may be due to
a)Less time for the release
b)The bug does not have any sizeable effect
6)Rejected :Some times the Developer may feel that there is no bug or the bug that exist
will not have any effect .In this case he puts it into Rejected stage.
7)Reopened:After it is send back by the developer the Tester reopens it and tests it again.
Here the life cycle is repeated.
8)Verified: After the tester is confirmed that the bug is debugged. He assigns it to verified stage.
9)Closed:After verifying all the bugs have been debugged the life-cycle is closed.
