Effects of Christ's suffering and death?

I know that we are not allowed to preach here. This isn't preaching it's just answering a question that was asked. According to my beliefs and the Christian bible, the effects of Jesus Christs suffering and death were great. Physically the torture and crucification that He went through was unlike any that I could imagine. He suffered and died not because He did anything wrong, or because others forced Him to do it. He suffered and died because He loved us so much. It was His choice to take our punishment for us. Jesus did not have to go through what He did but He did it for us, you and me. I cannot understand how someone could have that much love for me but He did. He knew that by following the old laws we could not get to heaven on our own. Someone had to take our place as punishment for our sins. We all sin and we all have sinned. The effect of Christ's suffering and death is that who ever believes that He died for us, that He took the punishment for us and that if we accept Him as our savior, because that's what He did, He saved us, we would live with Him in heaven eternally. The cool part is that after 3 days He rose from the dead. That proves to me that I will live in heaven after this old body dies. The effect is that we don't need to go to hell for our sins. Jesus made a way for us. No sales, no gimmicks, no silly rituals, just believe and turn your life over to him. If you feel that I'm preaching, I'm sorry that you feel that way. You asked so I'm answering. The effect that impacts me the most? I serve a risen savior and I'll see Him in heaven! How great is that! Some may say that I'm wrong. That is their opinion. If I am wrong and we just dry up and turn to dust when we die, then I have lost nothing because of my beliefs. But, if they are wrong, then the outcome is unimaginable and I will be in heaven. Choose wisely. Hope to see you there.

How many missionaries does the southern baptist convention sponsor?

The Southern Baptist Convention does not have a fixed number of missionaries that it sponsors, as it depends on various factors such as funding and specific missions projects. However, the Southern Baptist International Mission Board, which is the main sending agency for Southern Baptist missionaries, currently supports around 3,600 missionaries around the world.

What is the difference between Baptist and united methodists?

I can speak of Southern Baptist Convention and United Methodist. The Southern Baptist predominately believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible. They consider it the inspired word of God as well as the teachings and writings of Paul to be the example for the New Testament church. The four spiritual laws are a foundation for their evangelism as well. God created man in his own image to dwell with Him. Man sinned and has a sinful nature that is abhorrent to God and therefore He cannot commune with man. God sent His only Son, Jesus, to become man and dwell among us and to be a sacrifice for mankind's sin and to be a bridge to God. Man can become a Child of God by accepting this gift and be rejoined with God now and forever.

United Methodist believe that God sent His Son and that man needs to commit himself as an individual and as a church to the earthly needs of man as well as accept Jesus as Savior. Methodists are more ecumenical than Southern Baptists and may be perceived as less critical of other religions. In larger churches you might find the Methodist to appear to be less evangelical.

If I were on a spiritual journey and wanted clear cut dogma, I would go with Southern Baptist. They are into strong belief in prayer and personal Bible study.

If in my spiritual journey I wanted a variety of opinions and more intellectual banter, I would search out a Methodist church.

Whichever journey on you are on, God bless you and give you strength.

How does Israel celebrate Easter?

A number of Christian rituals have roots in Jewish traditions. The celebration of the Jewish festival of Passover, which commemorates the exodus of Jews from captivity in Egypt, has been mixed with Easter from the beginning and the Hebrew word Pesach, originally meaning Passover, came to mean Easter as well.

Christian worshippers from all over the world gather in the Holy Land of Jerusalem for Easter celebration. Pilgrims congregate for an Easter sunrise service at the Garden tomb in Jerusalem. Easter mass is celebrated at the ancient Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem's walled Old City. Priests and monks chant the liturgy, as incense rises above the tomb where Christians believe Jesus rose from the dead.

In mainland Israel, orthodox Jews celebrate the Passover while Messianic Jews celebrate Easter like the rest of the Christians around the world. The different celebrations arise from the fact that Orthodox Jews do not accept Jesus Christ to be the Messiah sent from God, and therefore they do not celebrate his Crucifixion or his return from death.

During Easter many processions are held in Israel where groups travel the route of Jesus Christ's journey to Golgotha. The route is referred to as the Twelve Stations of the Cross.

How do I contact Billy Graham?

The Billy Graham Association, in Charlotte North Carolina, is the approved way to ever hope of contacting Billy Graham to ask him a question and get his answer.

Unless you happen to know the family, of course.

Though it is doubtful that your question would get through to him at this stage in this life, since in 2016 he is 97 years old, and I am pretty sure he has a younger team of people who receive and answer question for him.

Is the Duggar family Baptist?

No. The Duggar family are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church). The Duggars have attended several churches and generally are described as independent conservative Baptists. The Duggars tend to be more conservative than the average Mormon, although they have said they are often asked if they are Mormons.

Was Michael Jackson a born -again christian or just a baptist Christian?

I do not have any solid evidence that Michael Jackson knew and believed ( meaning trusted) Jesus Christ as his savior. I read someone posted he was raised Jehovah's Witness. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the biblical Jesus Christ. In scripture Jesus is the only God (part of the Trinity) who died to save all the world of it's sin. Genesis, Isaiah and the Gospels are just a few books that speak so visually of God and Jesus. Jehovah's Witnesses claim Jesus to just be a prophet or at best one of a few children of God. They also claim to be born into the Kingdom and to be gods as well. This is contradictory to Christians and the Bible. Christians believe that only Christ is God and that He gave us all a choice to confess our sins and forsake them or to deny Him and live apart from Him. It is an all or nothing choice. No partial belief counts in Christianity.

Gospel superstar Andrae Crouch and his twin sister, Sandra, confirm meeting with Michael Jackson and praying and singing with him weeks before his death.

Jackson, raised as a member of the Jehovah's Witness sect and reportedly a convert to Islam last year, sought out the Crouches for inspiration for his upcoming tour, for which he was unprepared, according to a report in Assist News Service.

But while some blogs have reported that meeting led to a spiritual conversion by Jackson, the Crouches say they are not certain.

"Not sure where that came from," said Sandra Crouch on her Facebook page. "We loved and respected Michael and will continue to pray for his family. All the extra is not from us."

A spokesman for the Crouches had this to add: "Andrae and Sandra did in fact visit with Michael Jackson two times, once at the recording studio, and once at his home in the last two months, as recently as three weeks ago, asking for prayer concerning the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and how he could make his music more 'spiritual.' So Andrae and Sandra explained to him about the anointing and about Jesus. He wanted to know what makes your hands go up, and makes you 'come out of yourself,' and what gives a 'spirituality' to the music? He then requested to hear his favorite song that he loves and wanted the(m) to sing to him, so they ... joined hands and sang together, and he said, 'It was beautiful.' He first heard it in New York, and loved it and wanted it on tape. He had the engineer tape the song sang to him by Andrae and Sandra. He definitely had an encounter with them."

Was there evidence of a conversion?

The Crouch spokesman said: "He did NOT reject Jesus or the prayer when (we) prayed, and gladly joined in prayer. He usually doesn't touch anybody, but he touched them, and held their hands in a circle as they sang and prayed. There was NO actual 'sinners prayer' however, but they did talk and pray about Jesus and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. They also told him, 'Michael, we consider you as our son,' and he said, 'Yes, yes, yes' and gave him his latest music on a CD, and he told him, 'Andrae I trust you with this,' and gave him CDs of 2 songs ... unpublished, beautiful music."

Where can you find a simple poem about a church homecoming service?

Tourist and student come forewarned,

Milan, they're told, is nothing more

Than Brummagen half-latinized,

Its loud display of wealth a bore,

Aping America in outsized

Automobiles and skyscrapers:

Ethical conduct quite suborned

By latterday financial capers.
