There is some kind of condition linked with getting angry on the full moon, but not craving. I crave generally but it definatly heightens at the full moon. But I feel a connection to the full moon and everything is heightened for me around it. So :/ yer. Some say I'm crazy. Hope it helps to know your not alone

While many bats do roost in trees, they do not always roost in large numbers. When bats do roost in large numbers, there may be several hundred individuals in one area, but ithey may use many trees. Most bats roost in small numbers (10-15 individuals) or solitary. With specific reference to trees, bats may roost on the surface of the tree bark using cryptic (camouflage) coloration to hide them from predators. Technically, yes, you could bleed to death. In reality, you'd have plenty of time to get to a hospital and be treated. Veins bleed very slowly as opposed to arterial bleeds that spurt because of the pressure. Tongue veins are really only a problem with venom or off-center tongue piercings.

There are three kinds of bats in the world that eat nectar and pollen of plants. Two of the three kinds are found in South and/or Central America. They are called glossophagine bats and lonchophylline bats (Glossophaginae and Lonchophyllinae are the scientific names of the two groups). The third kind of nectar-feeding bats are the macroglossine bats of Africa and Eastern Asia (including Pacific islands).

Glossophagine bats can hyper-extend their tongues an enormous distance out of their mouths. They insert the tongue deep in a flower, and trap nectar in their "paintbrush tips" of their tongues, conveying it back into their mouths for swallowing.

Lonchophylline bats have a deep groove on either side of their tongues. They extend the tongue deep into a flower, and the nectar seems to rise in the groove on each side by capillary action. Glossophagine and Lonchophylline bats have clearly developed specialized structures for nectar-feeding independently of each other.
