Best BooksThe National Association of Librarians have listed their favorite 100, the top ten being;

1. Pride and Prejudice

2. To Kill A Mockingbird

3. Jane Eyre

4. Gone With The Wind

5. Lord of The Rings

6. The Catcher In The Rye

7. Little Women

8. A Prayer For Owen Meany

9. The Stand

10.The Great Gatsby

Undoubtedly a majority of confirmed bibliophiles would avidly disagree with several of the choices. Not being able to eliminate any I would prefer moving number 2 to 1, 8 to 2 and 6 to 3, JMO

11. Twilight Saga

AnswerI've read To Kill A Mockingbird and its really good

I have read 1, 4, 5 and 7 and enjoyed them all. Know of the others, except Owen Meany amd The Stand.

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.

If we are talking books that make a difference, perhaps we should include Asimov's 'Robot' series as many people think the 'Three Laws of Robotics' are as definitive as the Ten Commandments.

In my personal opinion, for this is essentially an opinion question, Pride and Prejudice is undeserving of the nomination.

100 Years of Solitude (Gabriel Garcia Marquez) Vanity Fair (William Makepeace Thackeray) Swann's Way (Marcel Proust)

The Twilight Saga is a blood saga.

Is Bill Gates an atheist?

It's not entirely known, but probably agnostic. Agnostic people are unsure of the existence of a god. Atheists lack the belief of any gods.

See related link for quotes from Bill Gates on the subject.

Microsoft Cofounder and CEO, was interviewed November 1995 on PBS by David Frost. Below is the transcript with minor edits...

Frost: Do you believe in the Sermon on the Mount?

Gates: I don't. I'm not somebody who goes to church on a regular basis. The specific elements of Christianity are not something I'm a huge believer in. There's a lot of merit in the moral aspects of religion. I think it can have a very, very positive impact.

Frost: I sometimes say to people, do you believe there is a god, or do you know there is a god? And, you'd say you don't know?

Gates: In terms of doing things I take a fairly scientific approach to why things happen and how they happen. I don't know if there's a god or not, but I think religious principles are quite valid.

The artificer here is the term agnostic. Agnosticism is not a position on belief, it is a position on knowledge. The prefix A means without and Gnostic refers to knowledge, hence agnostics do not claim to have knowledge of the existence of any gods. Belief is a binary position, either on believes in some proposition or one does not, there is no middle ground (no one can half-believe something). Given his comments Bill Gates appears most likely to be an agnostic atheist, that is a person who does not believe in any gods but does not claim to know that they don't exist.

How much money did Mike Tyson lose?

I think Robin Givens, many say that woman who accused him of rape, to this day the charge is controversial for 2 reasons;

next on the list is Don King and his cronies, who said Tyson "owed" them for keeping him safe while in prison, basically fleecing him of nearly all his wealth.

Who is the greatest Mexican boxer of all time?

Although julio Cesar chavez was a great Mexican boxer, im afraid id have to disagree. I never saw him fight, but my grandfather tells me that the greatest Mexican fighter he ever saw(and saw a few) was without a doubt Salvador Sanchez, he was only arround 22-23 when he passed away and had a 37-0 record with wins over quality opposition such as wilfredo Gomez, Carlos Zarate etc. NO DOUBT he would've gone unbeating for another 7-8 before he would've lost his first fight easy. its a shame we never got to see him reach his true potential at its highest level.
