Can you run a ford transit 2009 on biodiesel?
I have a ford transit 2009, can you run it on biodeisel? or what alterations are needed to run the van on biodiesel?
It is getting less expensive all the time. Like everything though,bio-fuel is not 100% reliable. It is more reliable than regular fuel though and is more healthy for our planet that the other junk that we put everywhere.
Bio Diesel is basically a cleaner diesel. Sure it works the same way, but it's cleaner and doesn't clog up the environment with toxins. Not many people use bio diesel. That's why it's so amazing when you see someone with a vehicle that uses bio diesel.
Biofuel can best be described as an alternative fuel source, whether solid, liquid, or gas, which is derived from biomass. Biomass is the base compound for biofuels, and comes from grains, cellulose plants and animal fats. In other words, bio-fuel refers to the type of fuel that is derived from living matter.
Biofuel may be produced from any carbon-based source that can be replenished rapidly, such as plants and plant materials. Biofuel converts the sugars and starches from sugarcane, corn, barley, canola and other high-cellulose plants into ethanol, which may be used on its own directly in internal-combustion engines, or mixed with gasoline.
Palm oil, soybean oil and similar oils can also be chemically processed and blended with petrol-based diesel fuel to make biodiesel.
Straw can be a component used in the manufacture of biofuels, but it's not a biofuel in itself.
How to be a bio-informaticien?
Bioinformatic is a software that make tools. There is not a way to be a software tool.
How many liters make one metric tonne of biodiesel?
Given the weight of 1 liter biodiesel = 860 - 900 grams (see the table on: www.greenerpro.com/EN14214.html) 1000 Kg biodiesel (1 mt) gives you between 1163 - 1111 litres of biodiesel.
Yes & No!
Mineral Oil is a fossil fuel & is not renewable & would not be classed as a BioFuel
Vegetable Oils are renewable & would be classed as BioFuels
Substance of Gmelina Fruit Extract That Can Be a Biofuel?
It's possible that the Gmelina seed oil could be a biodiesel. The oil is not edible, but has a specific gravity that suggests that it would make a suitable alternative fuel.
Advantages of biofuel over conventional fuel?
1) less emission of green house gasses
2) renewable resource
3) domestic employment
4) reduced dependacy on gulf countries for oil as a fuel
What is a problem that is created by a ethanol as a biofuel?
Ethanol comes from corn, we all know that. But the problem created by using ethanol as a biofuel is that it puts a greater demand on corn stocks which can and will go to the point where demand is much higher than supply. Corn is also grown as a foodstuff for humans and a feedstuff for livestock. So when you get a demand for ethanol AND a demand for corn as a food and feed, problems like availability for ethanol production become very difficult and more of an ethical and food issue than anything. Only so much corn can be grown every year and corn can be grown only in certain areas, so using ethanol as a biofuel alone is an inconceivable feat in itself. Other biofuels or alternative energy sources for vehicles must be conceived in order for corn to be freed up for use as food.
A biofuel is either a solid, liquid, or gas that is made from recently living material. A biofuel produces less CO2 when burnt than a fossil fuel would. Biofuels are frequently used to power cars, trucks, tractors, etc. and to heat homes or other buildings.
Is biomass a renewable resource?
Biomass is renewable only if the vegetation it is burning is renewable!
Biomass fuel is really any kind of vegetation that is burnt to produce electricity. Ideally this is residue from other crops, like the remains of sugar cane (bagasse) after they crush out the sugar juice. All these crops can grow quickly, in one season, so they are renewable. We can always grow more.
What are the uses for biofuels?
Fuel produced from renewable biomass material, commonly used as an alternative, cleaner fuel source. Bio fuels are most commonly used to power vehicles, heat homes, and for cooking. Solid biomass is also used. This can be used for power production.
Can bamboo be used as biofuel?
Bamboo can be used as a biofuel, however, converting it to a liquid energy can be difficult. The plant is not easy to harvest and is hard and researchers are currently looking for a way to harness the energy from bamboo for biofuel.
Why hasn't the US switched from fossil fuels?
Fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) are cheaper than renewable fuels because there is not yet any price on carbon dioxide emissions.
What is biofuel and how it is obtained?
it is an organic material made from plants and animals
what it is turned into
pros/positive
cons/negative
What is the difference between Biomass Biofuel and Biogas?
Biomass is the combination of animal waste or dung, crop wastes or agricultural waste. While biofuel is the fuel or energy produced by using crop waste, the product is ethanol which is used as a fuel.
Biogas is methane which is produced by fermentation of animal dung in the fermenter or biogas plant.
What is a good prize for a school game?
Water guns, slinkies, sillybandz, stuffed animal, earphones, paint kit, candy
IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE PRIZE IS FOR
A bio-oil is any form of automotive oil which is synthesized, as opposed to petroleum-based.
Can banana peelings be an alternative source of biofuel?
Try studying it and observing it, Conduct a study on it, like what I did to Pine Tree branches, I found out biofuel in it :)
