I wouldn't. If the nest is moved, and with human scent on it, the mother bird will usually abandon it. Leave it be until the baby birds are kicked out to fly on their own. Then it can be removed.

i have had experience with sebra finches (they are very easy) and all you really do is put some damp bread, fresh lettuse and egg and biscuit mix which is available at good pet stores. zebra finches look after their babys very well and will until they are independent

The main thing i think most ppl don't realize upon purchase is that even tho this bird only cost about 13 dollars or so, it is a living thing thatll need to go to a vets office and be treated like every other pet and yes sometimes the bills can get costly but it deserves to be taken care of just as well. It is best if they go somewhere where they are able to fly to get excersice bc the can get over weight pretty easy. But they can be very good little birds to have and very cute. Enjoy!

They should be fine as long as you have a big cage, toys and hide some treats in it's cage for it to find. If you leave your bird in it's cage with nothing to do then it will get bored and could cause stress. Leave a radio on an easy listening channel (not too loud). Perhaps even a TV if possible.

I gave my budgie a small piece of dried chive and he loved it! Most greens are okaay for budgies but id double check.

To keep chicken eggs warm, such as in a home incubator, you wouldn't want to use a bulb with too many watts because it could make it too hot. The standard would be to use a 40 watt bulb.

you dont have to buy them in pairs, but most people get a pair of zebra finches so they can keep company, or to breed them cause breeding zebra finches is really easy .

i have no problem with the name, tho my friend's rabbit is called 'hippie' and i guess it gives it some charactor. if it looks cool, proud and awsome i'd call it hippie!!!
