It very well could be... even if you are not having sex you can have it. It is not an STD (I mean it could be, but beings that the 'S' in STD is SEX to makes your chances rather low), it is yeast, like used to make bread, but a different breed. It is nothing to be scared of or anything someone (i.e. your mom/ dad) will, or can be mad at you about. I a, 21yo, female, started getting them at like 12. They suck. There is a lot of simple things you can do, eat garlic, or better yet crush it and place it in side you vagina before you go to sleep. I know it sound odd but what this dose is change the pH so that yeast can no longer grow. There is more I am sure, but this is what always works for me. Try Google-ing "yest infection alternative medication" You could also go out to the drug store and get OTC medications. If it dose not improve with either of this see a Dr. (and GYN. would be your best bet) and they should be able to help you.

Ive been sick for a month and im getting depressed what should you do?

If you are really feeling down, then ask about counseling. Some counselors help others understand how to deal with the thoughts about feeling weak and the inability to do normal tasks.
Also, you may find this odd, but animals give a great amount of comfort for ill people. Some dogs will curl up and snuggle next to someone who is ill, trying to cheer them up. Maybe you should consider a dog, cat or even a gerbil.
Should I use condoms or birth control?
You should definitely use something. Condoms prevent pregnancy and STDs (sexually transmitted diseases). Birth control pills only prevent pregnancy. It is possible to use both, for double protection. If you are on birth control it is a good idea to use condoms too to protect against STDs. If you do not regularly have sex, you may prefer to use condoms, but if you regularly have sex then you may prefer birth control pills. With birth control pills you would need to remember to take them every day at around the same time. Even missing just one pill can lead to pregnancy. With condoms you would need to remember to have some ready to use. Thee are many different types of birth control pills and also many types of condoms. To find out more about birth control, speak to your doctor or nurse. To discuss both options and which would be best for you then I suggest going to an advice centre where they can give you information that will help you to make a decision. You could also discuss it with your doctor or nurse.

ok there is still a little bit of the chance, if your period is on a 28 day cycle, than there is about 4 days until you ovulate, you cant become pregnant on that day, but sperm can live in the vagina for about 5 days under really good conditions, but if it was spermicidal, the chances aare that it couldn't of lived, but be sure and take a test and go from there, i hope this helps, if you need more info email me, my email is on my profile page

Do you have kids? Because one of my friends has there period every 2 weeks somtimes and then sometimes she has it for 2 whole months straight. This is a serious condition and you should go see a gynocologist as soon as possible. But the reason i asked if you had any kids was because the friend im takin about can't have kids and that's why her period is the way it is. So i hope that you go seek help soon because if you don't find out soon then if could get worse. Glad to help

Yes you will have great chances of becoming pregnant now. It usually takes 3-7 days after stopping birth control to be able to become pregnant.
Even if your birth control is not regulating your period is it still working to prevent pregnancy?
I would not trust that particular birth control if it did not regulate your menstrual cycle.
I had a similar problem after using a particular brand for a while and me and my doctor agreed to change to another pill with more hormone in it.
Would you bleed if you stop taking control pills and can you still get pregnant?
When I am regularly taking my pills and then stop taking it for two days, I generally start bleeding on the 3rd or 4th day.. Yes there's always a chance that you can get pregnant. If you use condoms along with you birth control, the risk goes down majorly. But I've missed days and haven't got pregnant on my pill for 5 years of taking it. Don't worry too much, but just be careful and make sure you take it every day.
Yes, that is normal! This is a newer option using The Pill offers to women. Once you finish the active pills, you skip the placebo pills and start a new pack the following day. Skipping the placebo pills keeps your hormone levels steady so you will not have a period.
This is very handy to use if your period is going to come at an inconvenient time, you have heavy periods - even while using BCP or you just don't want to be bothered having a monthly cycle. Currently it seems to be recommended by some BCPmanufactures that after 3 months of active pills, you use the placebo for a week before starting the next packet. These details should be discussed with your doctor or Family Planning clinic. Only take your pills as directed and check with a professional prior to making any changes in any prescription medication.
How do you prevent pregnancy when no longer taking the contraceptive pill?
In the first instance, whilst you're working to decide, or are awaiting an appointment with your women's health centre, consider looking at these options:
Implants: Nexplanon or Implanon - a slightly larger that rice-sized caplet that is placed beneath the skin.
The Patch: Ortho Evra - it looks like a plaster or 'band-aid'
The 'Jab' - Depo-Provera; an injection you receive several times a year.
The Sponge - a mini-doughnut shaped sponge. (good to use with condoms)
Vaginal Ring - Nuva Ring
Carvical Cap - Femcap
Diaphrams
IUD - inter-uterine device
What's good for one person may not be good for another. You have the ability to choose what suits you and you're body best.

If you have irregular periods and if you want children in the future, the form of birth control that would be best for you is the birth control pill. With the 21 day pill, you take one pill around the same time each day for 21 days, then you take a break of 7 days before starting your next pack.
