You could try calling them and simply talk with them you will know from the conversation if they want to talk with you as well as if they have someone in their lives. Don't go into this with expectations of a reconciliation - try being friends first.

Run! Find someone who is more stable, intelligent, kind and who treats you well. Look for maturity instead of just someone who claims to love you. If he truly loves and respects you he would never even THINK of cheating on you and certainly wouldn't want to ever break up with you for any reason. If he's running back now it's just because he's lonley and thinks you're easy to get back with. You certainly have to value yourself before you can even THINK of having someone else think you're worth serious commitment.

That won't last long and no one will be happy. My boyfriend of 3.5 years broke up with me. The best advice I can give is this. Wait and be there. Be his friend, be available, but keep living your own life.
