When the traction control button is pushed to disable it, the vehicle automatically starts out in 2nd gear. If the traction control is left on and the vehicle detects wheel spin, horsepower is reduced until the system recognizes that wheel spin has stopped or traction has been restored.

The old starter might of blew your battery. I would either recheck the wires to the starter make sure I did it correctly and if you did I would buy a new battery. I JUST had the same thing happen. 79 bucks for a new battery just cause its "special" really sucks!

check for the camshaft/crankshaft sensors...

Any type of SAE certified antifreeze can be used in your 1992 Cadillac Seville. The antifreeze should be rated for -35 degrees to 120 degrees.

its under the front manifol bihind the radiator fans and it has two sensors u have to replace bouth of them they are located on the same spot u will see bouth of them at the same spot / one its a crankshaft position sensor and the other one its a camshaft position sensor and yes u have to relace bouth of them at the same time ) they bouth cost around $90 DOLLARS

check battery cable connection to see if loose.could also be a drain on battery,check to be sure all accessories were turned off overnight. Just a few days ago my caddy would not start. the battery checked out ok, but the alternator was bad. diodes were bad causing an "open loop" in electrical circuit which drained battery. To check alternator, first fullycharge battery, take to local parts store (autozone will check it for free)this can be done with alternator on running engine. Good luck!

Try looking in a repair manual(chilton's and haynes are a couple common names). You can probably find them at a library.

remove your distributor cap remove your rotor cap button then look for the modual located on the right side inside of the casing where your distributor sat on remove the modual replace the part make sure you place lube onto the bottom of the modual where it makes contact then place everything back the way it came off hope this helps you.

does your car rough idle at the lights before it cuts off? It could be that your sensors need to be replace. Take it to an auto part store and they should be able to read it for free or at least they do here in iowa. That should help diagnose the problem.

You usually can suspect that the starter is bad if you turn the ignition key and nothing happens. You hear a clicking sound but the engine does not turn over. The dash lights should come on.

Under the rear seat next to the battery; there is a 10 amp fuse for the seat warmers.

For 1976 ONLY, Cadillac Seville's bolt pattern was 5x4.75 (5x120.65mm in metric).

NOTE: Many, even those who sell wheels professionally, often confused a 5x120mm bolt pattern wheel as being the correct size for the 5x4.75 bolt patters, be careful if looking to buy new metric sized wheels, as the .65mm makes ALL the difference in it fitting.

Remove the rear seat buy pulling up on one side at a time. Underneathe is the battery, just take off the terminals and replace.
