it would be hard to say which ones are the best but i love the rayovac 15min rechargeables. they last a long time and they recharge in 15 minutes. i have had mine for 5 years and they still work like they did the day i bought them.

The crop factor indicates the size of the sensor.

It is relative to the size of 35mm film, also known as Full Frame.

Actual size of Full Frame is (36mm x 24mm)

To calculate the sensor size you use:

[(1 / crop factor) * Full Frame]

= [(1 / 1.6) * Full Frame)]

= .625 * Full Frame

= 22.5mm x 15mm

Short answer - Yes. I just got an xti and had the 6600 that I used on my Rebel film camera. It fires ok on the xti but I have not fully tested it. (distance, etc) I believe that it will be ok..... Sign me...Novice

It depends on the type of problem you're trying to fix. Some parts cost more than others. In some cases it won't make sense to fix but rather to get a new camera.

There is no standard rating system for lenses, but the quality of a lens is quite important, as it is the most important factor (besides your ability to properly use your camera) in the quality of the photos you will take.

In fact, the resolution (clarity and sharpness) of your digital photos is usually limited by the camera's lens, and not by the resolution (number of megapixels) of the camera itself.

Unfortunately, the only way to find out for yourself how good a lens is is by shooting photos and seeing how they turn out. Since this isn't usually an option, you might want to visit a camera shop and talk with the staff (but watch out for pushy salesmen). It depends on the compression setting (may be normal, fine or superfine on your camera) that you use when creating the pictures. This assumes you are recording as jpegs and not RAW files, which are much larger. At the maximum resolution (probably around 2592x1944 for your camera) at low compression (high quality) the file size should approach 2MB per picture. You should be able to record over 1100 images. The amount of storage in your camera depends on its internal memory, as well as if you have a flash card for additional storage. The 1.3 mp camera I just bought has 8mb internal memory which equals about 60 pictures, if that gives you any meter on which to judge. The megapixels are the amount of pixels for each picture... the more megapixels, the better quality and more detailed the image.

When you format the memory in a digital camera, any photos that have been stored on that memory will be erased. The memory is also set up by the camera's software to store new photos.
