In hi-fi we have always impedance bridging. Zout << Zin. The damping factor Df = Zin / Zout tells you what Zout is. Zout = Zin/Df. If the damping factor Df = 200 and the loudspeaker impedance is Zin = 4 ohms, the output impedance of the amplifier is Zout = 4 / 200 = 0.02 ohms. Voltage divider is ok if your load is only few milliamps. As more load you have the more power (or heat) the series resistor has to dissipate and of course there will be voltage drop on the resistor. This means that it will be difficult to regulate the output.
2 options: 1. Use linear voltage regulator such as LM340T-5.0 or 7805. The most common version is the 1 amp version but there is a 3 amp and a 0.5 amp version. Because this is linear, heat must be dissipated. You need large heatsink if you have high load. 2. Use switch mode regulator such as LM2677. Because it is switch-mode the efficiency is close to 100, thus little heat si dissipated even at full load. Most of the time no heatsink is required and the whole circuit will fit inside the cigar lighter plug.

Leaks can occur anywhere in a brake system from the master cylinder in the engine compartment, to any of the lines and connector fittings along the lines, to the "slave" cylinders at each of the wheels.
The question of "what piece to replace" is the piece [or pieces] that are leaking or damaged.
Brake fluid is a special compound designed to hydraulically transfer force through tubing to be applied at a slave cylinder.
Leaking brake fluid, like most other liquids, will "wet" the area around, and due to gravity, the area below the leak. Therefore, to find a leak, examine the brake system starting at the master cylinder in the engine compartment following the hydraulic lines from the master cylinder all the way to the ends of the lines at the wheel brake slave cylinders.
When you find a "wet" area of the brake system, there is probably a leak there. This will be at a fitting, or a crack in a brake line [either the solid metal, or the rubber covered flexible line sections. Also, the pistons in the wheel slave cylinders can deteriorate, and allow leaking at the cylinders which are usually located on inner side of the brake assemblies, or occasionally actually inside of the brake drum [requires removal of the wheel and brake drum to observe].
When you have found the leak, then you must analyze the part(s) involved, and replace the broken or worn one. Good luck.

2003 Oldsmobile Alero Brake Light Bulb Troubleshooting (check in this order):
· Check Fuse(s)
· Check Brake Bulbs - Including bad bulbs, loose connected or incorrectly installed bulbs, left, right and center high mount - 1 bad bulb or connection in the circuit can cause the entire circuit to malfunction.
· Check Turn Signal Bulbs
· Check switch on brake pedal
· Check license plate light bulb and wiring (sometimes on same circuit)
· Check trailer hitch wiring harness (sometimes on same circuit)
· Check all wiring harnesses and wiring for shorts
Most likely it's the fuse or a burnt bulb breaking the circuit. Sometimes the license plate and/or the trailer hitch is wired into other circuits and can cause issues in other areas. What system? Some circuits go to 0 volts when cranking. If you are reading voltage at the battery, then the battery is dead.

You don't say whether speaker built in or free-standing. Problem is either speaker, amp or wiring between. Assuming stereo, put speaker on other channel. If fault changes over = speaker or wiring at fault. If it doesn't = amp at fault. Assuming fault changed over, check plugs and connections and meter wires for continuity. Speaker should have nominal 4, 8 or 16 ohms across the terminals

Why your AC wont blow cold air just a little bit when is running?
Based on your abbreviated question, right now I can think of only two causes for the problem First, and probably more common than the second cause, is that your A/C system has developed a leak, and has lost a major part of the coolant [Freon]. That would require that the leak be located and repaired, and an evacuation and recharge of the cooling system. The other possible cause is that the "air blend door" in the plenum box, usually below and farword of the glove box, is not working properly, and is blending in too much hot air. Most modern automotive heating/cooling/ventillation systems "adjust" the temperature of the air into the passenger compartment by mixing hot air [hot coolant from the engine] and very cold air from the air conditioning evaporator core. This is accomplished by a door which changes position in order to provide more cold and less hot air, or vice versa. You adjust the position of the blend door when you set the system control to heat or air conditioning, AND the level of heating or cooling by adjusting the temperature control. Usually, the blend door is operated by vacuum from the engine, and IF there is a vacuum leak, or the hinge pins of the door are sticking, then the air blend door will not respond to the temperature adjustment you set with the controls. Also, it is possible that there has been an accumulation of all kinds of debris [leaves, candy wrappers, plastic shopping bags, etc.] inside the plenum box, which jambs the air blend door. Depending on your skill level, and equipment available, it may be better to have an a/c technician, or a qualified mechanic check out your a/c system.j3h.
