If you have 500 watts at 4 ohms how many watts do you have at 8 ohms?
250 watts approximately
I assume you have a constant voltage supply. According to P=V^2/R => P*R=V^2, you have a 44.7 volt supply. If you change Resistance to 8 ohms, P=44.7^2/8 => P=250 watts.
What is the function of the load in the circuit?
It's a power output
This answer is incorrect.
A 'load' is the name given to any device supplied by the circuit. For example, a motor could be a load, or a resistor, a lamp, etc.
Where is the fuse box on an 89 Grand Marquis?
It is under the steering column on the left side behind the plate that covers the bottom half under the steering column, two screws on the bottom of the plate will remove the plate, then yoiu have to remove the adjuster for the right side mirror
a diode current rectifier is a device that uses 4 diodes arranged in such a way that it converts alternating current into direct current
the arrangement is called a bridge rectifier
it is very simple in how it works but the best way to understand how it works would be to see a diagram of a bridge rectifier with the current directions marked out on it
When the input connected to the left corner is negative, and the input connected to the right corner is positive, current flows from the lower supply terminal to the right along the red (positive) path to the output, and returns to the upper supply terminal via the blue (negative) path.diode-bridge
Will semiconductors amplify the electric signal in a transistor?
Actually, a transistor is a device made from semiconductor material, and they're used to amplify and switch electronic signals as well as electrical power. Before transistors were invented, product engineers had to use vacuum tubes and electromechanical switches in order to complete electric circuits.
How do you reverse polarity on ac motor?
Reversing polarity is not possible with an ac motor. Some do have wiring that will allow you to change rotation. The type and model of the motor can tell you if it is reversible.
How do you connect diodes in series?
Connect positive to negative, leaving the end positive and negative connections free to power circuits or devices. Connecting batteries in series adds the voltage of the batteries. For instance, connecting three 12v car batteries in series will create a total of 36v, enough for welding.
A 14 volt lightbulb is equal to how many watts?
If you have 14 watts, you have 14 watts of power. We measure electromotive force (EMF), which is commonly called voltage, in volts. EMF (voltage) is the force that will drive electron current flow, which is measured in amps. Simply put, power is current times voltage, or, said another way, watts is amps times volts. If you have 14 watts, you could have 14 amps at 1 volt, 7 amps at 2 volts, 2 amps at 7 volts, or any other combination of current and voltage with a product of 14. You may have picked up that because watts is amps times volts, we can say that a watt is a volt-amp. Extending that thinking, 14 watts is 14 volt-amps. There is no way to write 14 watts in volts, at least not without having a bit more information.
Can you reverse polarity on a light?
Yes, with a retroreflector. One form of a retroreflector is 3 mirrors all mutually perpendicular like the corner of a cube.
What is the cable size for 1.5KW 3 phase induction motor?
Sir,
what is the cable size for 1.5kw 3phase induction motor 400v?
Why would there be no voltage to the AC compressor clutch?
the pressure switch which is located on the dryer/accumulator senses when the refigerant level or pressure is low and shuts off the compressor to prevent catastrophic failure of the compressor due to possible lubricant loss. the electronic control panel in the dash then flashes to let you know your refrigerant is low. you obviously need to recharge the system at least. and to do that you have to get the compressor running. there may be other ways but the way i do it is to make a little jumper out of a paper clip that will plug into both holes of the pressure switch plug that i mentioned earlier. this will lock on the compressor once you reset the electronic control panel in the dash and the only way I've found to do this is to simply disconnect the negative battery terminal. this will get rid of the flashing ac symbol but it will also delete your radio preset stations. you can now proceed to recharge the system and check for leaks etc. if you do this yourself be sure to remove the jumper in the pressure switch plug and reconnect it to the pressure switch when you get thru charging the system
The contacts in the ignition key switch have been known to not make contact when the ignition is turned on. Remove the switch contacts. It can be removed from the key lock. Spray some contact cleaner into the contact cluster through some small openings, reassemble the switch and work the key back and forth to clean the contacts. Then see if the AC clutch gets voltage. Note that there is a little light in the AC pushbutton on the AC controls. The light some come on if the circuit to the clutch is complete

How do you test an alternator with external regulator?
Leave battery lead to alternator connected, disconnect other leads. Run car and check output at these two leads. Should be 14-16 Volts.
How many amps does 4 use wire carry?
What is 4 use wire? You mean 4 conductor? In any case, it depends on the wire gage and whether it is stranded or solid conductor. Look on the side of the wire. There will likely be something printed or empossed on the insulation like the following: 4-18 which would mean 4 conductor, 18 gage wire. Single conductor wires will have the AWG directly on them such as: 12AWG or 10AWG as used in homes. Find out the gage and reply. Then I can tell you the amperage limit for the wire.
Out of curiosity, .... why do you want to know? Are you adding more load to the wire? If so, you should also consider the fuse that protects the wiring. It's rating will be lower than that of the wire so it fails first.
Could be immobilizer damage, reversing the polarity on modern cars can cause the electronics to fry. Its possible to cross the starter switch wire out to see if engine will start when cranked,if so then its the starter blown but please be aware that you need to know what you are doing to do this as crossing any wires needs to be done by qualified engineer to save electrical or personal damage. Hope this helps
How can a speaker work with holes in it?
It can work, but it will not sound good. Any deformations of the cone will "color" the sound, which will sound muddy and not clear. Eventually the speaker will die due to the voice coil dragging in the magnet because the speaker isn't moving correctly. If you have a speaker with a hole in it you should replace it.
Your security light stays on at all times how to fix the problem or diagwhat is wrong?
The security wire is either disconnected or shorting.
How do you fix windshield wipers on an 04 Avalanche that won't shut off?
Change the wiper motor. There is a cam on the output of the wiper gearbox ( part of the motor)
that shuts off the wipers when they reach the parked position. Yours is worn, never opens the internal switch, and the wipers just keep going.
To just make them stop, unplug the electrical connection on the wiper motor. The motor is on the firewall, above the engine, and not too far from the brake fluid reservoir. It's mostly aluminum colored, and about the size of a burrito. Probably four wires on the plug.
Can you use a rectifying diode to reduce voltage in an AC circuit?
No, you must use one of three options depending upon your circuit and what you want to accomplish:
1. Use a transformer (ie; 24 volts into 12 volts).
2. Use a voltage regulator circuit.
3. Use a ZENER diode that is rated for the maximum voltage you desire in your circuit.
Example: A 12 volt circuit with a 5 volt zener diode (the diode will only let a maximum 5 volts get through and will disipate the remaining voltage to ground. (requires proper design and resistor selection).
ANSWER: YES ABSOLUTELY if there is a full wave rectifier removing one diode will reduce the voltage and reduce power too.
