The Queen of Hearts is a playing card character. as far as I know she is not based on any real, regnant monarch, past or present- one of the Navarre ( French) Queens- maybe Margaret ( or Margot) of Navarre, was given this nickname. I have heard it argued the somewhat dark and sinister Queen of Spades ( and espada means Sword in Spanish, not a type of shovel) may have been based on either an anonymous Female Knight or possibly the Black Madonna of Czestochowa ( pronounced Chest- a Hova). Holy Cow!

Because it was always dealing with a bunch of jokers and kings who thought they were above the rules. Plus, the queen was always causing drama with her royal highness attitude. And don't get me started on those sneaky aces up their sleeves. That deck was a hot mess, honey.

By the terms of the Berne Convention, which many countries worldwide are signed up to (including the UK, the US, Canada, Japan, etc) Copyright is automatically applied to anything 'original', created in 'tangible' form and it will then be protected by that convention.

So that means while ideas and concepts can't be copyrighted in that form, they can be protected by intellectual copyright if they are drawn or written, either on paper, or digitally, etc.

To copyright a playing card game, all you need to do is create it.

(Note: the above is not to be confused with 'Trademarks' or 'Patents'. The issues of 'registering' or enforcing copyright are side issues.)

I know there is a way because I had that program in my xp, but I can't remember how I did it; combatibility program won't see it for windows 95; If anyone can figure this out please let us know. That is the best card game program tha was ever made. It says it is from New World Computing.

In a standard deck of 52 playing cards there are 2 red queens. The queen of hearts and the queen of diamonds.

I've been phoning several stores in Toronto and they've been saying that a shipment is being received in the USA mid-January and that it should distribute to Canada sometime later that month. I believe that is how the game is distributed in North America.

Look at the back of the raffle card. Then, spin the spinner. If it lands on one of those numbers on the back of the card, you get to keep the raffle card... This is all I know.

52 playing cards plus 2 jokers, 54 in total.

I found two cards when I was renovating my new house. I found Hayseed Hank and Postman Pete.

Here are the ones left from my old deck: Courageous Cop, Hayseed Hank, Diver Dan, Clancy Clown, Billy Blaze, Careless Carrie, Tumbledown Tess, Ballet Betty, Heap Big Talk, Arnie Angler, Loggin' Larry, Milkman Mo, Alto Annie, Bagpipe Barney, Lasso Louie, Slap On Sam, Freddie Falloff, Greenthumb Gert, and, of course, Old Maid. I know Fifi Fluff is another one, but I no longer have her. If there are any others, I'm not aware. I love the pictures and still use the cards with my daughters. However, they have VERY strict instructions to handle the cards with care so that they will stay in good shape. Hope this helps!
