Why are European polecat ferrets endangered?
Polecats are endangered for a number of reasons. One is due to persecution - polecats make short work of a pen full of artificially fattened pheasants and like the majority of predatory animals once they've gained entry to such a pen will get carried away, killing several birds rather than one. This has not endeared them to gamekeepers and those who make a living from rich businesspeople who like to travel into the country and shoot fat, slow birds.
Another reason is that they are sometimes caught in snares and traps set for rabbits, an important source of food in many parts of Europe for humans. Since ferrets like to eat them too, they're often found in places where rabbits live - precisely where humans place their traps. They're also deliberately trapped and hunted for the fur trade - though not as common as it once was, trapping polecats was once an important part of this unpleasant and cruel practice. There are also those who hunt them for "fun."
Many polecats, along with weasels, stoats, badgers and their other cousins, die on roads. Though nimble and intelligent, they're much slower than cars.
Thankfully, many countrymen have begun to realise that polecats do an invaluable service in killing vermin including rabbits, rats and mice. This means that, rather than exterminating polecats on their land, they encourage them while making pheasant pens more secure and accepting that the occasional missing ferret is a small price to pay in return for the large numbers of rodents a polecat will kill in a year. As a result their numbers are beginning to recover in some areas.

No. Ferrets are unable to digest fruit and vegetables and eating these can cause stomach problems or in more severe cases intestinal blockages. Fruit and vegetables are also high in natural sugars. Foods which are high in sugar should be avoided as ferrets can develop diabetes.
Ferrets are carnivores and so should be fed raw meat. Meat such as chicken, rabbit, lamb, beef, turkey etc. Chicken and duck eggs are also good and are a
great source of protein.
Special ferret pet food is available in pet stores. Chose the ferret food with the highest meat content possible. Different foods are available for your ferret depending on their age. If you google "ferret food comparison chart" you will be able to find the best food for your ferret. Cat/ kitten or dog / puppy foods are not suitable as they contain too much plant matter.
Ferret supplements such as FerrTonic and FerrTone are also available. They usually come in liquid or paste form and contain extra vitamins and minerals to keep your ferret as healthy as possible.
Make sure your ferret has a fresh dish of water or water bottle beside his food dish as some ferrets will refuse to eat if there isn't water nearby.
Is it ok fir a feerets to eat cat food?
If they eat some cat food while they're out exploring, they'll be okay. But you shouldn't feed it to them regularly. Cats and ferrets have different protein and fat needs, so while it's basically the same stuff, the proportions are different. If I remember correctly, ferret food is the higher-fat stuff, so you would have more of a problem getting your cat to stop eating ferret food. All carnivores love fat.

How do you convert a Shed into a ferret home like will it need heating ect...?
A shed would not be an ideal home for a pet ferret as they are domesticated animals and very susceptible to weather and predators. I would suggest researching first before you get a ferret. An ideal habitat for a ferret would be a large cage with lots a blanks and hammocks. Also a litter box with wood pellet litter rather then regular cat litter because it can cause breathing issues as they will like to dig and play in it. Best advice would be to talk to a shelter... there are plenty around that has a lot of experience to assist.
