Can a Teenager Run Away from home in Pennsylvania?

The parents of an non-emancipated minor have the custody and control of such minor. This means that the parents can legally decide where the minor lives until the minor reaches the age of majority (usually 18) or otherwise becomes emancipated.

If a minor moves away from the home of his or her parents or legal guardians without their permission, that minor can be picked up by authorities as a runaway. Depending upon the state, there may be an evaluation stage in which the situation is reviewed to insure that the individual is not endangered by being returned to the home. Some states have recognized that minors that are 16 or 17 are often considered questionable as to their ability to leave home. Authorities may not want to deal with minors in this age group and some states are establishing legislation enforcing the age of majority and eliminating any questions in the eyes of the law enforcement community.

Check with your local laws for more specifics. If you are in an unsafe environment, law enforcement personnel can put you in contact with the appropriate agencies to obtain help.

Why does your cat lick your face after he has his milk?

Cats, including wild cats like Tigers, use their tongues to clean themselves. Their rough tongues and saliva are very effective. You may see cats licking the back of their paws and then rub their faces to clean them, since they can't clean their own face with their tongue.

Cats in a group may also clean each other's faces, both to stay clean and to promote socialization and bonds between cats. Your cat licking you is both offering to help clean you, and show you the bond between you.

It could be just as simple as...your face is salty good. Cats like salty things. I have seen and owned cats who licked all the salt from chips.

Can worms make your kitten sneeze?

YES!! Worms can make a cat sneeze. Especially tapeworms. The cat excretes the segments of the tapeworms. They look like sesame seeds or cucumber seeds which you will find in your cats bedding. Cats are very clean and are constantly grooming. If your cat or kitten is grooming excessively , (constantly licking themselves) , this is another sign. as the worm segments also make your cat itch all over and he or she will "flick their tail" very often. A tapeworm is flat and very white. Check your cats rectum to see if you can see any excreting of worms. If you find this, take your kitten to the vet to be treated. Clean and vacuum the entire house especially the cat or kittens bedding and all areas where he or she sleeps and plays and make sure their litter box gets cleaned and disinfected to avoid re-infestation. Good luck!

Why is your 5 year old male cat going to the litter box every few minutes but only excreteing a small amount of red tinted fluid?

My cat, a 6 yr old male has the same problem. According to my research, he has a UTI and/or crystals in his urine, which are causing bleeding in the urinary tract as they are excreted. I am trying to offer more fluids to my cat, hoping to flush out the problem, because I can not afford to take my cat to the vet right now, esp since he seems to be ok otherwise. But be warned this problem can worsen and can even kill the cat, best idea would be to take him to the vet

My cat just died. it was a 4 year old female cat that we just found dead. would it be from an infection or bite?

Very sorry to hear about your cat. Unfortunately without an autopsy it is impossible to know. Cats are very good at hiding illness until it's serious (part of a defence mechanism for avoiding predators in the wild). Poisoning would take several hours to take effect and there are many plants that are poisonous to cats although they usually know to avoid them. Maybe your cat had been in some sort of accident. Cats hit by cars often show no external damage or bleeding but die from internal injuries. Whatever it was it was very likely to have been sudden and she won't have suffered.

How can you make your cat be a lap cat?

Simply: You can't.

Some cats love attention and will happily sit in your lap, while others will only come to you when they want attention - not the other way around. Some cats will prefer sitting next or near you instead of in your lap, while others will prefer their own space. It all depends on the cat's personality.

Is there an injection where you can stop a puppy chasing a kitten?

I don't know for sure but that's not the type of thing that injections or medicine tend to cure. Chasing kittens is a behavioral thing in dogs so my guess is you would need to train him to behave differently, possibly you could try every time he sees the kitten and starts barking you could give him a dog treat, that way after awhile when he sees the cat instead of getting worked up and chasing the cat, he will be happy to see the cat because he knows when he sees the cat he also gets a treat. I'm not sure that will work though as it might just lead to him being a happy dog who chases a cat even on a full stomach. I would consult a trainer.

_____________________________________________________________________ I have achieved this with training. It is not so hard after the dog understands your commands and the meanings of them. There is no injection for that.

Is it normal for Mother kittens to abandon their living kittens to look for the ones that died?

Some mother cats will do just that but not as a rule, they will feel the loss of one of their kittens the same as a human would feel, this is why there is saying that some people use to describe an "unfit mother" Cats make better mothers than her!" not a nice saying , but there it is.

Why do cats preen?

Cats preen only to wash themselves. They are a fastidious animal and really do not like to get dirty at all. Sometimes they will over wash usually resulting in coughing up a hair ball. If they don't preen themselves, they may end up with matted hair which can cause problems with their overall health. I have one lazy cat who will not wash herself very much, has medium hair length, hates brushing, and ends up matted as all get out. We then have to go to the vet and have her shaved - referred to "the Lion Cut"
