If you engage in risky, unprotected sex with multiple partners, however, you are potentially exposing your vagina, cervix and uterus to both traumatic and disease-borne injuries such as STD's, PID, etc. It is possible that the damage sustained from these injuries could lead to increased risk of cervical, uterine and vaginal cancers, though the degree of risk is unknown and is unlikely to be significant.
