The Cobalt is a closed system. That means you can not add trans fluid, it has to go to the dealer to get it done right.

rev. this is not a closed system. you can add fluid on top of the trans there is a fill cap. best thing to do if your not sure is to drop the pan and change the filter and add 7 qts of fluid. Dex3

The starter motor is behind the crank pulley on the passenger side. This is not a driveway job. You'll need a lift and a few special tools if you're trying to replace it your self.

you have to pull the rear seat out and the back part of the seat and then the rear package tray has to come out to get to the bolts that hold the speakers in.

Try to use the Chevrolet speaker adapters plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess up the electric system, you can get those from eBay or amazon

You can try back feeding all the fuses in the fuse block at your own risk. GM goes to a lot of effort to defeat methods that would allow their cars to be stolen, such as from being hotwired.

The dealer should replace it at no cost. GM had a recent recall on these power steering units, including the 07 cobalt. GM stated that the dealers were supposed to do this at no charge. A number of people started complaining that the power steering would lock up while driving, and that they had to shut the car off and turn it back on to unlock it. Because of this, GM did a recall around March of 2010. I am surprised your dealer didn't notify you....

Edmunds gave the 2007 Chevy Cobalt Coupe LS decent reviews. They did complain about the car because of how the engine works, but it is fairly a good car.

If the car is out of the warranty the thermostat may not be opening or stuck, the radiator fan may not be operating, the engine coolant may be low, the head gasket may be bad, the temperature sending unit may be defective and indicating incorrect temperature. Get it repaired by a good mechanic if you are not one yourself.

Some times mine get's stuck in park, what i do for mine is rock the steering gentley from side to side.If it gets stuck on a hill, then have someone sit it while another person rocks the whole car front to back.

you need 1.25'' wrench to open because this thing is plastic you need extra care to open

hook the OBDII connector to the canooter valve and twist the transvecular nut clockwise and wait 30 seconds for reboot

with a little modification 20's will fit on anything but you will have NO turning radius and be VERY careful over even the smallest bumps! i have 22 on mine with 4 inch spring

"Blowing" Fuses Fuses and Circuit Breakers are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] from short circuits and overload conditions which can cause extreme overheating which can result in damage to the conductors, and worse, the possibility of a FIRE which could destroy the vehicle. Yes. It is a sports car...if you're a 16 year old girl. If you're not a 16 year old girl, it's an econo-box that gets good gas mileage that looks sporty. I'm sure it's sportier than a Ford Focus or Toyota Yaris though. You need to look at the Scion TC or the Acura RSX. You can get a 2-3 year old RSX for the price of a new Cobalt. If, however you want to know what a real sports car is, look at a Mustang. That's probably the cheapest REAL sports car on the market.

I disagree. A turbo charged SS will likely give a similarly priced mustang a run for its money. No a cobalt isn't a mustle car, as you'll always have just a 4 cyl, but depending on your tastes it can be a sporty car. It can also have some goos speed with little work (or an SS upgrade).

I just read that you remove the filler cap and then the large plastic shroud will lift up. The filter is in a canister on the side of the engine to the front. The filter is an insert, into the canister, not like the old spin ons.

Turn ignition to run engine off. Display OIL LIFE RESET in the Driver Information Center (DIC). Press and hold the ENTER button for at least one second. An ACKNOWLEDGED' display message will appear for three second or until the next button is pressed. This will tell you the system has been reset. Turn the key to OFF. If the "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
