no but it is able to fold down
If you look at the air filter box, you will see the air intake hose that goes to the engine. As soon as it comes out of the box, it will be in that hose.
My helper locked the keys in my 2003 Express: I called AAA and they sent a locksmith. He used several plastic wedges along the top of the drivers door, creating a gap of about 2 inches between the door frame and the truck body. Using a stiff wire with a hook on the end, he caught the sliding lock button, and pulled...open in 2 min. max.
BTW: the door sprung back into shape on its own, and the paint wasn't even scratched!
High level description here: Changing spark plugs and wires in my 1996 Express was an all day project for me. It's been a few years, but I recall I had to take the front wheels off to get access. Be safe. I needed to get s 3", 6", and 12", socket wrench extensions as well as a universal joint. I'm pretty sure I used 1/2" drive sockets.
The motor cover in the passenger compartment needed to come out to get access to the distributor. I do not recall whether or not I got access to the rear plugs from the inside or outside.
I couldn't fathom why a garage wanted over $500 to change the plugs, wires, distributor cap. After I did the job I understood. Good luck!
Random cylinder misfires. Replace the spark plugs and spark plug wires.
On GM model cars I know you use a Torx socket. You can purchase them at Checker Auto Parts.
On my 2004 c1500 Chevy 2wd the torx socket size is 55. But they are frozen. i could not even get them loose with an air impact. I guess I will try heating it with a torch and hope I don't fry the brake caliper seal.
They are held in place on GM and Oldsmobile with a Torx T-55 bolt. The bolt is held in place with the red colored Loctite, so it will take a good deal of force to remove it, or gentle tapping combined with heat. (A 4' breaker bar worked on my 92 olds.)
if you fuel up slow it probily goes ok but it will take forever YOUR VENT HOSE HAS TO BE CHANGED ON YOUR GAS TANK DRIVE SAFE
po 430 usually means you have a bad catalytic converter on bank no. 2 which is usually the drivers side converter.i would check to make sure you don't have any other engine concerns.drivability concerns that is.
Depending on year, try turning key to "on" position without starting vehicle and push accelerator to the floor 6 times
If that doesn't work;
With the key off, push and hold in the odometer button, depress the break pedal 10 times then release the odometer button.
Problem solved....
A 'non-interference engine' is designed so that if the timing belt or chain breaks while running, the valves will not strike the piston tops. The engine will only stop running without damage. 'Interference' engines will suffer major mechanical damage if the chain or belt fails during operation, thus the need to replace the belt or chain when recommended. The lense has a clip on the outer side that needs to be pushed in with a flat head screwdriver to release. The entire lense pulls out and the bulb socket is accesable from the back. To replace just hook the inside edge and clip it back in place.
The antifreeze in the oil is a dead give away that the head gasket is blown. Make sure you send the heads out to be checked so they are not warped.
Remove the two screws on the inside of the light fixture , nearest the doors, wiggle then pull out lens, remove bulb holder, replace bulb and then refit lens. You may need to use WD 40 to loosen the screws that may be caked with dirt and salt. It may be a good idea, in fact, to replace the screws. Chevy have made the replacemnt of bulbs on the express very difficult. You literally have to remove the whole radiator grill to replace a headlight. I learnt the hardway to replace my own bulbs on the express van. Like you I wanted a ( front in this case ) turn light replaced, I had my van in for service, so I bought a bulb in the dealers own parts dept for $1.8O and I figured they'd put it in for free , seeing as they where doing work on my van. No way, they charged me $39.00 to install a $1.80 bulb!
are you talking about the compressor if so i suggest that you go and buy you a repair manual ( HAYNES) from advance auto parts for about 15.dollars it is a pain in the A** to remove and replace and if it not leaking it is under high pressure and will have to be recovered , and you will need to replace the dryer along with the compressor, and then pull vacum on the system to make sure you all the moisture out of the shstem for it to work right
are you sure it is valve chatter,Thought i had same problem but it was the rotor on the distributer hitting on the cap due to a bad top bushing in the distributer.
