The 2006 Impala SS is a popular model of Chevrolet. The base vehicle has a 3.5L V6 engine, 5900 RPM horsepower, air conditioning, power windows/locks/seats, and CD player.

if it's a four barrel, it's in the carb.

On the oil pan, on the bottom of the engine. Crawl under the car and you cannot miss it.

2 bolts hold it in and you have the hot wire from the battery to take off the starter and 2 small wires and just pull it out.

On the bottom of the oil pan, look for the large bolt.

Throw a match on it and walk away.

Actually none of them are rare, they started making the impala in 1958 and people didn't like the 58's back then and not a lot of them were sold so I would have to say the 58 is probably the rarest of all the years.

Need to check the 10 AMP. fuse's for the ECM. There are 2 of them in the fuse box.

If they are good, Then you need to scan the engine with a engine scanner to see whats going on.

Blown fuse, defective fuel pump relay, clogged fuel filter, or defective fuel pump.

yes, 5 x115 bolt pattern. 225-35-20 or 245-40-20 depends on the tire size...make sure the back tires clear while turning.

There is a drain on the lower right of the rad. If you can't get to it, pull the lower hose.

According to my Haynes repair manual 1991 through 1994 Ford Explorers have a 15 amp fuse in location # 17 for the fuel gauge looking at the schematic.
There is supposed to be one. Automotive systems are fully fused (everything has a fuse) except the main starter motor.

The crankshaft positions sensor is located behind the crankwheel on the passenger side of the engine. In order to replace it or at least examine it, a person would need to remover the crankwheel with a puller that can be rented out at Autozone. Just ask for a harmonic balancer puller. Remove the front right tire and place firmly on jackstands. The crankshaft pulley WILL NOT loosen by just turning the bolt. This is a two person job. Caddycorner to the starter, there is a small plastic plate cover that covers the driveplate/flexplate. Remove the two bolts and pull the cover off. Have one person position a screwdriver into the ring gear teeth and have another remove the pulley bolt. Its EXTREMELY TIGHT and the best way to remove it is with a large rachet and a breaker bar. Once the bolt is removed, take the puller and position accoridngly. The threaded holes are not on the surface but inside the pulley itself. Place large bolt in center of the puller and place the pointed or flat tip on center of the large bolt and place. Take three very small screws or bolts that came with the puller and position all three in place. Once all this is done begin turning the bolt in the middle of the puller clockwise. This will take alot of arm strength and anywhere from 15-30 min to do. Once the wheel has come off, carefully pry off the sensor cover which is another piece of plactic. Once the cover is off, carefully remove the sensor and examine or replace as needed. Installation is reverse of removal.

First you locate the tensioner pulley, which is the black plastic pulley below the alternator pulley. Then put a 15MM socket with long breaker bar and turn clockwise as you are facing the motor. It will be hard, there is about 120lbs of pressure on it, but you will move it. Have a helperremove the old belt and immediately follow it with the new belt in the same route. Release the tension, done!

You will need to remove the ashtray, dash plastic, etc., to get at the back of it. Disconnect your battery ground to be safe. There will be one or two wires on it; remember where they were attached. Unscrew the back of the housing; it threads into itself and may be tight. Putting it together is much easier. Good luck.

On my 90 325I, the fuse gets corroded. I have to clean out the connection every now and again in the fuse box under the hood.

You will have to remove the gas tank and install a fuel module.

There is currently several class action law suits against General Motors regarding the (RED) Dexcool antifreeze. I would go to bgfindashop.com and find a repair shop that has the BG equipment and have them flush the system. The reason being, They run a cleaner and the back flush the entire system including the heater. They will then service it with the Green antifreeze and add a conditioner to help prolong the life of the water pump.

The 1966 Chevy Impala ignition switch can be removed by loosening the retaining ring at the top of the ignition switch. Remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.

I am sorry to inform you that there is no such reset on Chevrolets.

open your driver door and looking in it will be on your left. it says fuses on the panel... open that and on the inside of the panel it tells you what fuse is what.

intake gasket, leaking radiator and radiator cap, leaking heater core,, air in the sytem that needs to be bleed by the bleed screws,,,but most of all on all these cars with the 3.8 or 3.4 are bad about intake gaskets,,hope this helps
