When did Dutch Mill Candy Company of Chicago go out of business?

Sorry but i dont have an answer to your question but the person who started dutch mill candies was my great grandpa and ive been looking around to learn more about dutch mill candies but we do have his old recipe book for all the candies he used to make so that is cool.

If you have the recipes then we can start making great candy again in your Great Grandpa's merit. My fathers accounting firm was Miller Cooper and Company. They were the accountants for the company. As I worked for the firm I was often sent to observe inventory or work on the periodic accounting. Usually in the morning when it was time for a coffee break they went into the back to bring fudge or another kind of chocolate to enjoy. The chocolate was fresh, smelled unbelievable and tasted even better.

If you you call Miller Cooper I am sure they can bring you up to date on on your date. As long as they don't have to violate confidentiality of client matters there are probably lots of stories around.

What is the history of Bucktown?

I recently heard about a book:

It is called Wicker Park from 1673 thru 1929 and Walking Tour Guide by Elaine A. Coorens. Has a light blue cover with artists drawings of homes in that area. It has 200 some pages and then there are more pages consisting of the Walking Tour. Should be in libraries (Library of Congress Card Catalog Number 2002096948) or bookstores.

I couldn't find it anywhere, but I did contact her (ecoorens@ccisite.com) asking to purchase three copies, and haven't heard from the author.

Yes, there is a Blue Line 'L' station next to the domestic terminals.

Simply follow the overhead signs that say "Train to City." They will lead you to a tunnel that runs one level below the baggage claim area. The station is in the middle of the tunnel.

If you are arriving at the International Terminal (Terminal 5), take the Airport Transit System to any domestic terminal (Terminals 1, 2, 3) and follow the signs from there.
