- Remove the two screws that secure the recirculation door actuator to the air inlet housing and remove the actuator.
- Disconnect the blower motor wire lead connector from the blower motor resistor or power module, depending on application.

Or you could just take take the inside of the glove box out, really simple and then take out the two bolts take out old, put in new, replace bolts and replace inside of glove box. Took about 10 min., and my wife did it.

Depending on the trim level and year, you may need to start by removing the knob from the top of the gearshift. It is secured by a set scew (small torx head - T15 I think) facing the front of the car. If your floor console shift box trim overlaps the dash panels (most do), unsnap and remove the shift box trim (the plastic "box" over the gearshift). It's one piece and is just snapped into place. On either side of the center console there are wing-shaped trim panels. Remove the trim ring from the ignition switch (left panel) and then unsnap and remove both panels. This exposes the screws that hold the dash components in place. If you are replacing the radio with an aftermarket unit, you will need a dash installation kit. This is a plastic shell that bolts into the factory fasteners and supports the new unit. Best one is the Metra 99-6506. Usually not in stock, because it only fits Pacificas. But it fits beautifully. Around 20 bucks. You will also need adapter harnesses for the new head unit and the antenna cable. If you are cutting into the factory wiring harnesses, though, it's best that you disconnect the negative battery terminal before you start. If you do disconnect the battery, you will need to re-calibrate your front power windows and your steering angle sensor. Don't be alarmed. It's so simple even a Chrysler technician can do it. After reconnecting the battery (radio work completed), turn the engine on and move both front windows to the haf-up position (not critical). Turn off, wait 10 seconds, and turn key to ON without starting the car. Run drivers window all the way up and hold the switch up for 3 full seconds after it stops moving. Then run it all the way down and hold for 3 seconds. Run it back up and hold 3 seconds more. Repeat for passenger side. Start the car in Park. Without touching the brake or the shifter, turn the steering wheel full stop to the left and hold for 5 seconds. Repeat for the right side. Center the wheels and turn off the engine. Done. I have done these many times, you need to remove the intake manifold to gain access to them. Below are the step by step direction to remove the intake manifold.
REMOVAL - UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove air cleaner housing and inlet hose.
- Remove engine cover.
- Remove throttle and speed control cables from throttle arm and bracket
- Remove the two cable bracket retaining bolts and position the cables and bracket assembly out of the way.
- Remove the oil fill tube to upper intake manifold retaining bolt
- Remove the oil level tube to upper intake manifold retaining bolt
- Disconnect electrical connectors from the following sensors and actuators:
- Manifold Tuning Valve (MTV)
- Short Runner Valve
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
- Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
- Idle Air Control (IAC)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP)
- Remove alternator support bracket
- Disconnect the EGR tube
- Disconnect vacuum hoses from the following
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve
- EVAP Purge Solenoid
- Power Brake Booster
- Remove the front and rear intake manifold support brackets
- Remove the upper intake manifold retaining bolts and manifold. Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.

If the hub has been on the vehicle for a few years, you will have to press it out. I tried the slide hammer (not enough force) to slide out the hub assembly. You will have to disassemble the entire knuckle and take it to a machine shop (around $30.00) to press it out. The hub assembly is about 1/2" into the knuckle. Mine corroded due to dissimilar metals (aluminum and steel). Be careful when pressing out the hub as the one I owned would budge until 800 psi pressure was applied and when it did pop it took a small amount of aluminum from the knuckle corroded to the hub assembly. Once the two parts were cleaned up it went together easily. Make sure the brake back-plate is lined up with the holes to the knuckle putting the assembly back together.

The fan blows air out the front vents and doesn't change to floor, defrost or bi-level. I can adjust the temp and fan speed. A week before I noticed this, the HVAC display blacked out until I restarted.
I have the exact same issue with my 2004 Pacifica. In my case, however, a week before, it was switching from air blowing to the floor, then the center vents then the defroster all by itself without my input.
