The low pressure connector is wider than the high pressure, which you will find on the cylindrical dryer on top. You have to reach your hand behind the engine cover on top to access the low pressure area. Make sure you are putting the adapter all the way on. It will lock properly when it slides over the second "ring". Once the a/c unit has turned on for a few minutes, you will note that area is the coldest area, if not freezing with ice or frost. That is the low pressure side.
