How many motor mounts does a Chrysler pacifica has?

The FWD Chrysler Pacifica has 2 Motor Mounts. They are the same part number and known as either the front & rear or left & right mounts...all the same thing. The Pacifica also has two additional mounts which typically fail. One of them is the Transmission Mounnt and the other is the Rear Torque Strut. You can find a kit that includes all of the above for a complete mount replacement on sites like Amazon in the $120 to $150 range. They are typically made by DEA or MotorKing.

How do you remove the spare tire on a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?

Hi, The spare tire is underneath the rear of your Pacifica. However, to lower it, you will have to open the back hatch and open the floor compartment. In the middle of the compartment you will see a place where you have to fit the lug wrench onto. Then after it is fitted on, you will have to keep spinning the lug wrench to the left until the spare tire is lowered onto the ground. Then you will have to release the cable that lowered the spare tire down from the vehicle. Next, take the flat tire off and install the spare tire. Then take your flat tire to the nearest decent tire store or car garage and have them either fix the flat, or replace the tire if it is ruined. Then after you get the tire back, take the spare off and put the good tire back on again. Happy Traveling!

Why does the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica gas pedal get stuck?

Could be bad throttle body assembly Hello, My '05 Pacifica gas pedal would stick at the top when I would release the gas pedal and I would have to almost "slap" it with my foot to get it to go back down. I oiled the cable at both ends and even tried never seize. I also sprayed the gas pedal where it hinges with WD-40. It seems pretty good right now, But I seemed to notice that it was worse when the weather was hotter. I'll see how it does when the warmer weather comes. I don't know if yours is sticking like that. I hope this is helpfull ....... The inside of the throttle body carbons up, and the throttle plate sticks. You need to clean or have the throttle body cleaned. To clean the throttle body you need to remove the air cleaner hose, spray a shop towel with carb cleaner, hold the throttle open(engine off) and wipe the inside of the throttle body. This is normal both of mine do this have someone hold the throttle open and spray with cleaner and use brush to clean it off around the throttle plate I do this once a year on both of mine

The check engine light in my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica stays on constantly. Car is running fine so far. I have had no problems just kinda curious what the problem might be?

You can get the codes out of your Pacifica very easily. Turn the car off. Wait a few seconds. Put the key in and turn the ignition on-off-on-off-on all within 5 seconds, then watch the odometer display. It will display any codes it has in memory, in order, then "done". The related link has the full list of what the codes are.

btw: The most common is a code for the evaporative emissions systems (P 0440) and usually that means you need to tighten or replace your gas cap. The gas cap must seal, and over time they don't seal as well any more.

The engine control computer has identified a problem with it's monitoring systems.

Many times this is a sensor getting old or malfunctioning but does not affect drive-ability.

You can also have the malfunction codes read with an OBDII reader, ( most parts stores will do it for free ) and go from there. The code will have a description of the problem and get you headed in the right direction for repair.

Caution, your vehicle will not pass emissions inspection with the MIL lit, and will not perform at its best fuel economy until the issue is resolved.

How do you change the headlight fuse in a Chrysler pacifica?

The fuses for the 2004-2006 Pacifica are in the black box next to the battery marked fuses. If you are having failing headlights ( or no lights) this is a real problem with the Pac's. The problem is the idiots at Chrysler engineering designed most of the electrical power be distributed thru the " fuse box" which doubles as the Power Distribution Module and is programed for your VIN # or unique to you. The power leads to each headlight (right and left get their own "on" power switch) weakens over time and powers off, either shutting down each light until the power driver cools off, or fails completely and takes out the bulb with it. I know, I went thru 6 bulbs @ $36 each until I had NO power out to them period. This requires a new PDM @ $390. I got one only to find that my memory circuit for door locks, radio and other things kept with the key off didn't function. Called Chrysler, who as usual shut their eyes tto the fact I had a defective unit, wouldn't take it back! I devised a way and device the can be triggered to turn on my lights WITH the headlight switch on the column using the weak signal from the PDM as the trigger. I also installed HID kit because these lights are brighter and use less energy. The secret is I used a electronic (solid state) 12v auto relay and took the power from the battery to power the lights, and installed them in a weather tight plastic case from The Shack. Works great, and hasn't failed in over a year.

Where is the ac drain on a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?

I have a 2005 Pacifica, I would assume these are in the same place. Look behind the engine at the "fire wall" on the passenger side. There should be a black rubber tube, about a 1/2 inch in diameter coming through the wall. It is toward the bottom. Mine was stopped up and water was trickling into the passenger floorboard. I took a small wire and was able to unclog it. Also, if you have some tubing and an air hose, that might work too. With engine cool, I was able to reach it with my hand. Hope this helps.

How do you remove the hubcap on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica I try to pry it but it seems like it is going to break?

Theres three lugnuts holding that on. Take all the lugnuts off first and it will come right off.

What does the engine symbol on a Chrysler pacifica mean?

That would be your check engine light. Your best bet is to take it to autozone and ask if they can read what "code" made that light come on. They can even turn it off for you, but beware, it may come back on if you do not fix the problem that made that light come on for you in the first place.

Checking codes at autozone should be free. Napa, Pep boys (not recommended), and other auto part stores should be able to "scan" your car for "codes" for free. If they ask for a fee to check, walk away

To get your light bulb back in your 2005 Pacifica?

Open the hood. Look down at the top side of the headlight assembly that you want to replace. There are two silver colored screws that have to be removed. Once you remove the screws, the headlight assembly must be pulled forward toward the bumper. You may want to reach to the rear of the headlight and help it forward. The bottom of the assembly is actually clipped in, but it requires a little pulling to remove the headlight itself. if you reach between the bumper and the bottom of the headlight and pull, it will come out. Once its out, remove the black boots that seal the housing. You will find the bulbs behind there, twist the socket and it will come out. Dont touch the new bulb glass area with your fingers, this will mat cause the new bulb to a very short life due to oils from you hand. Use tissue or something else if you have to grab the glass area of he bulb. If you touch the glass area, wipe it with alcohol to remove oils. The bulb just pulls out from the socket. Reverse the procedure. You may find ita little harder putting the headlight back into the vehicle, just line everthing up and push the assembly back into place. You know you got it right, when the two screw holes line up. If the screw holes are lined up, but wont reach the headlight assembly when you go to screw it in, remove the headlight and reinstall it, the bottom of the headlight didnt go in right.

Under the glove box on passenger side, you'll see a black cover. Remove the cover, and you'll see a black plastic and there is a lid at the bottom. Remove the lid, you'll be able to access the filter and change it. Pull down the filter and replace a new one. It takes a little bit longer to put the new filter in. !
