What would be the sturctural effects of addition of three successive nucleotides early in the gene?
Adding three successive nucleotides early in the gene would likely cause a frameshift mutation, altering the reading frame of the gene. This would lead to the production of a non-functional or truncated protein due to incorrect amino acid sequences being generated during translation.
What is the most deadliest household chemical?
I believe it is caustic drain cleaners, such as Drano. The combination of bleach and ammonia are highly poisonous. They both combine to make Ammonium Chloride, or "Mustard Gas", that was used to kill and injure many men during WWI. The fumes can overpower and kill a person trying to use both for cleaning.
Each year how many people die because of the death penalty?
It is difficult to provide an exact number of people who die each year due to the death penalty, as it varies by country and can fluctuate. In 2020, 483 people were executed in 18 countries. However, the death penalty data can change each year.
How many chemicals does a cigarette have in it?
There are 4,000 chemicals in one cigarette.
There are over 500 additives in one cigarette.
Some like:
Arsenic-found in rat poison.
Benzene-found in rubber cement.
Tar-used to lay down streets
Butane-lighter fliud
Formaldehyde-used to preserve dead bodies
Plutonium 210
Nicotine-highly addictive
and so much more.
in a cigarette there are about 400 or maybe even more.:(
The babcock test is a test used to determine the fat content of milk. It involves combining equal quantities of milk and sulphuric acid. All the components of the milk apart from the fat dissolve in the acid, leaving an aqueous layer (acid and all componets apart from fat) and a layer of fat on top. From this, the percentage of fat can be calculated.
Constructivism in chemistry lab?
This sounds like a question proposed by a chemistry education professor. I'm a high school chemistry teacher (16 years) and unsure why we push constructivism in chemistry labs. It seems unsafe to have kids design labs. Liability is much greater for the school. Well written labs will develop the skills students need to construct knowlege and attain understanding. Class discussion and post-lab analysis are wonderful opportunities for the student to use constructivism. Proponents of constructivism generally cover far less content than a more traditional approach to teaching chemistry. Very few topics in chemistry do students come to class knowing. Therefore they have little knowledge base to build upon. For these reasons, I will continue to be more traditional and resist constructivism as the only tool to teach chemistry. How many chemicals are there in cigarettes?
Cigarettes contain thousands of chemicals, including nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, and various carcinogens. Some estimates suggest there are over 7000 chemicals in cigarette smoke, many of which are harmful to human health.
Is smoking a cigarette a physical or chemical change?
Smoking a cigarette involves a combination of physical and chemical changes. The act of lighting the cigarette and burning the tobacco involves a chemical change, producing new substances. The process of inhaling and exhaling the smoke is a physical change as it involves a change in state (from solid to gas) without altering the chemical composition of the smoke.
How many chemicals do you inhale from each cigarette?
A single cigarette can release more than 7,000 chemicals when smoked, which includes various toxic substances like tar, carbon monoxide, and formaldehyde. Many of these chemicals are harmful to human health and can contribute to various diseases, including cancer and respiratory disorders.
What happens if smoke is kept in a closed jar for long time?
Presuming a good seal on the jar and a perfectly clean jar, smoke will eventually separate into its gaseous part and the particle mass (PM) part which will collect on the surface of the jar and lid. The PM is generally between 2.5 and 10 microns in diameter. The gaseous portion consists of oxides of nitrogen (NOX), volatile organic compounds (VOC), carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, in varying proportions depending on what was burned, at what temperature, and in what atmosphere. The gasses will mix with whatever air is in the jar. If the jar permits UV light to enter and you put it in the sun on a warm day, the VOC and NOX will combine to make ozone (O3), the ozone will break down other VOCs (if any remain) into CO2, O2 and carbon.
Can one adjust the sensitivity on a overly sensitive hard wired smoke detector?
Hard-wired "home" type smoke detectors can not be adjusted for sensitivity. Detectors that appear "too" sensitive are usually very dirty or located in the wrong place. Carefully review the lengthy instructions that come with each detector with regard to selecting a location. Avoid: high air velocity areas such as near air conditioner vents, areas outside bathroom doors where steam vapors waft out, kitchen areas where the cooking smoke can get to the detector before disapaiting Studio apartments pose an obvious problem. You can try cleaning the detector to make it less sensitive by following the manufacturer's cleaning instructions, but when in doubt, replace it. Isn't your life worth $10.00?
What are the different chemicals that are present in a cigarette?
Cigarettes contain many harmful chemicals, including nicotine (addictive substance), tar (a mixture of chemicals), carbon monoxide (reduces oxygen in the blood), formaldehyde (a carcinogen), and benzene (linked to leukemia). These chemicals, among others, contribute to the health risks associated with smoking cigarettes.
What is a simple neural receptor?
A receptor (protein) on a neuron that receives stimulus (light, pressure, chemical...etc). The stimulus generates a receptor potential (local disturbance/slight depolarization in membrane potential).
What chemicals are in a cigarette?
lots of horrible chemicals such as ammona is is window cleaner and a chemical that is in nail polish re over if you want to know the affects of smokeing type it in the question bar ok?
Benzene; Ammonia; Acetone; Formaldehyde; arsenic; caffeine; Butane; Methanol; methane; stearic acid.
these are only 10 but there are 599 of them...
And there are millions of chemicals in the human body, including most of the above....... And you don't need state of the art uber-CSI equipment to even detect them, never mind measure them, in a sample of urine.

Is there any room left for the actual tobacco?
The above is a list of additives that MAY be present in cigarettes. The vast majority are also widely used as food additives (and we never cook food, do we?).
The question is the same as asking what chemicals are in food. Food itself, be it a lettuce leaf or a steak, is a mixture of chemicals - and that's before they add all the colourings (diluted industrial dyes!), flavour enhancers, preservatives (including various biocides!) and 'healthy' supplements (nicotinic oxide, folic acid, etc.). Not every single colouring, etc. is added to all foods and it's the same in cigarettes.
P.S. Nicotinic acid is also known as Niacin or vitamin B3. It is a product of the oxidation of nicotine.
The cigarettes contain a drug called tobacco which is highly dangerous for the lungs.

The cost to heat a pool can vary depending on factors like energy costs and usage patterns. However, you can estimate the cost by calculating the BTU input per hour of the heater (399,000 BTU) and factoring in the energy cost per BTU in Pennsylvania. You can then multiply the cost per BTU by the number of hours required to heat the pool to 80 degrees Fahrenheit to estimate the total cost.
How do you get yellow smoke stains out of the plastic on your TV?
Personnaly, I use window cleaner. I spray it on a cloth generously and wipe until it looks like it's clean. For the venting on a tv it will be easier to use a vacuum cleaner with an upholtery brush attachment on the hose. If you don't have an upholstery brush you can always use pipecleaner brushes or something with small bristles that will fit inside the vents.
If your breaker is bad can it cause an excessive electric bill?
Absolutely!
Assume that there is a fairly low resistance ground fault at some distance from a breaker.
Assume that it is the feed for a high current device that only rarely, if ever, gets used [so that the natural load failure doesn't draw attention to the problem!] like an electric back-up heat bank used as emergency heat for a heat pump in San Diego [where the heater never gets called on!]
Assume, say, that it is a 3 Ohm resistance ground fault, so there is an 80 ampere load at 240 volts, let's say, on a 100 amp breaker, so that won't trip. This gives you a power consumption of 19.2 kilowatts [watts = current in amps x voltage] an hour, 24 hours a day. That's 13,824 kilowatthours [kwh] a month [30 days]. At 25 cents a kwh the WASTED electricity would cost $3456.00 in just one month!
<><><>
In a way, yes. You are paying for energy measured in kilowatts. If the wiring is old and undersized you are paying for the heat generated by the wires themselves. If this is the case you have a serious problem because heat destroys wire and a fire can result. If this is not the case, usage is the only thing that causes an increase in kilowatts used. Another thing to look for, because I have seen it, is your neighbor in an apt. building "tapping" into your service? If you have a separate main breaker for your apartment only lock it off and see if your neighbors complain to the landlord.
