Are lemon raw good?

All fish dishes with lemon juice are good for your health - as long as there are not heaps of other unhealthy ingredients (batter, fat) added.

A common process for making raw fish involves cutting the fish into pieces and marinating them in lemon juice. The acid 'cooks' the fish and will turn it from translucent to white. You can then add coconut cream and coriander; or chopped tomato, avocado and onion for a Mexican twist - fresh and delicious.

A limequate tastes like a kumquat and a lime mixed together. You could say a lime-tasting orange or an orange-tasting lime. :-) Not as sour as a lime, but not as sweet as an orange. I like to make a lemonaide out of it and have used it for preserving my pears instead of using a lemon to preserve.

How Healthy are really Lemons ai usually eat one or two Lemons per day could this be more hazardous than beneficial?

Lemons are quite healthy, as long as they aren't all you eat. Lemons have a lot of vitamin C, which protects against scurvy and helps in the absorption of iron.

However, eating too many lemons a day (more than 2 or 3), can displace nutrients from other food sources. It is a good idea to eat a balance of different foods to make sure you're getting all the different vitamins and minerals. Also, getting a variety of other fruits is healthy too. For example, many berries are high in antioxidants and other phytochemicals that give beneficial health effects.

Another point is the acidity of lemons. Lemons are high in citric acid, and eating too many lemons may eat away at your teeth.

How do you stop fisheye and orange peel when refinishing stocks?

Fisheye occurs when there is water in the line or other contaminants on the surface. If you're spraying, buy a line dryer for the spray gun. You can get an inexpensive inline dryer to put just before your spray gun. They're available at most auto paint stores. If it's caused by contaminants on the stock, make sure you sand well enough. I prefer a 600 grit wet paper between coats, especially if I'm doing fine work. Orange peel is caused by spraying with the material too thick. Thin the varnish/laquer before you spray. It needs to be near water consistency. Use several very thin coats and sand lightly between coats.

Do they Spray paint oranges before they ship them?

"Spray paint" is not quite the right word. The FDA does allow the addition of a colorant called "Citrus Red #2" to the skins of mature oranges. It's more of a liquid dye than a paint, and, of course, safe for human consumption.

Oranges only turn "orange" if the temperature is right. In some countries where the temperatures never cool off, oranges remain green, even when mature. It is the cool temperatures which promote the release of the orange pigments (carotenes). Before being sold in the U.S., green oranges used to be coated with an orange dye to make them more attractive to consumers. This practice is no longer acceptable by the FDA. To overcome this problem, oranges are now often treated with ethylene, which promotes the development of a uniformly "orange" appearance. This removes the chlorophyll layer and allows the orange color to emerge.
