What are Branded company in Computer?
Branded computers are manufactured by big companies like Packard Bell, Acer, Dell, Compaq, IBM, Gateway and others. These big names have built their reputation over the years. Therefore they do take quality seriously, since their reputation is at stake. Branded computers save time to the user, instead of having to assemble his own personal computer, which can be a difficult task to a non technical person.
When you buy a branded computer you are covered with a guarantee and there are less chance that something will go wrong, than if you had to assemble the computers yourself. The difference between branded and assembled computers is that while branded computers are built in mass productions plants, assembled computers are built by a technical person or by the computer owner.
When one buys a branded computer, he has a quality assurance that the computer components have been tested thoroughly. A branded company is expected to make use of quality parts and not cheap ones. This means that the computer owner gets good quality for a reasonable price. Branded computers are expected to give stable performance since all parts are manufactured by the same company, while in assembled computers one can experience hardware conflicts and other technical problems.
The buyer also enjoys experienced technical support from the mother company, while if you buy an assembled computer you are at the mercy of the after sales service of the shop keeper. Another advantage of a branded computer is that it looks unique in design and professional. Branded computers contain original software such as operating system and common applications. Even extended warranties are available. Branded computers come with PC restore CD.

With the wide variety of notebooks and laptops available on the market, it may be difficult to know which is the best option. PC Mag conducted a review on laptops, and suggests that the best laptops for college use are the small sized ultrabooks, with 13 to 15" screens. These computers are powerful enough to be able to manage tasks appropriately, but are small enough to carry around between classes.

How do you build a CRT monitor?
no idea. people don't use CRT monitors anymore if they don't have to. What I would do is just build any old monitor you'd see today, but just put more room in back for the mechanisms. other then that, I don't know. people destroy CRT monitors or make them into cages for pets or fish tanks, toy boxes, storage, emergency monitors, and much more. If you can ( I'm not an expert at this website,) tell me more things people use CRT monitors for. one last thing, People also get newer monitors and destroy CRT monitors.

How much difference is between 1.0 GB ram and 4.0 GB of ram?
First, four gigabytes of memory is more than one gigabyte. Four gigabytes is also the maximum amount of memory a non-PAE 32-bit computer can handle, but most modern systems now support PAE. Having more memory on your computer can also improve performance by minimizing the amount of page swaps needed to your pagefile or swap partition.

Can you put a mini CD in a laptop Dell XPS M1530?
I have a Dell XPS M1530 Laptop and need to put a mini cd in to configure new hardware. I searched online to see if this laptop was capable of accepting this miniature CD without risk of damage or jamming. I'm happy to say that after slowly pushing the cd in until I hit the last milometer the laptop sucked the Mini CD right in, read it just fine, and spit it out on demand. Go for it!
Hope this helps.
Yes it will accept and read Mini CD's

What is a better gadget the i-phone or the blackberry bold?
my opinion is the Bold is a much better phone, yes because of the 3G, but also because it was more options, and applications, and it's more stable than the curve... i had the curve for more than a year, and dieing to get a bold...
It is really up to you but in my opinion the Bold is a better phone mostly because it has 3G and the Curve 8900 only has edge. 3G is a huge part of smartphones and allows you to use your phone's internet at a much faster speed.

What is the best laptop tp buy for everyday use?
If your budget can handle it, a Mac Mini is quite a nice desktop computer for simple home usage. The lowest grade Mini would probably suffice, especially if you aren't planning on doing any gaming.
However if you are more of a PC user, I would suggest the Dell XPS series. The Studio XPS 8100 is the lowest in terms of price but would likely suit a non-professional home user just fine.
How long does the average laptop last?
It really depends on how long it will do what you wanted it to. Some people have gotten a few extra years out of an old computer by switching to a less demanding operating system such as Ubuntu.
Is Microsoft better than apple computer?
Update: This answer was written sometime around 2008 and is, at the time of this comment, at least six years out of date. In the computer world, this is a long time in which many things can, and have, happened. The spirit of the answer is roughly correct, but the many details are different.
While I could simply say "yes, Macs are better than PCs," the question is actually difficult to answer since in truth it depends largely both on personal preferences and personal needs. And though I am of the opinion that Macs are significantly superior to PCs and that Mac OS X is significantly better than Microsoft Windows, to state that as fact would be unfair to those with the opposite opinion. Rather, I will attempt to state the differences themselves and let you decide. Nevertheless, I do not want to appaer as a closed minded Mac fanboy simply as a result of my opinion -- in reality, I frequently use XP and have had experience with Windows Vista, not to mention extensive experience with Windows 95, 98 and ME. So onto the answer...
HardwareIn terms of hardware, Apple Macs (including the various desktop and notebook Macs) tend to use higher quality casings, parts, and hardware than other PC brands. (For example, longer lasting and higher performing Intel processors rather than AMD processors, actual aluminum and steel metal parts rather than painted plastic, and solid glass screens rather than a sheet of gloss plastic.) Webcams, the Apple Remote (for use with things such as the bult in Front Row media center or PowerPoint presentations), internal serge protectors and hard-drive-protecting motion sensors are also commonplace. Macs also frequently make use of magnets rather than clips and other breakable parts (like for securely closing a laptop's monitor or affixing the Apple Remote). Macs are also sleek and are the hardware is nicely integrated with the software.
However, Macs lack of some useful things many PCs have, such as built-in storage card readers or fingerprint security.
Many PC advocates have also made the argument that PCs are cheaper than Macs. However, I would argue that, while inexpensive PCs do exist, they typically lack the high-quality hardware present in Macs. Furthermore, PCs similar to Macs (for example, the Dell XPS laptops or the all-in-one form factor PCs) tend to cost more than Macs and still include slower processors or have other drawbacks.
SoftwareThe prime focus of the argument is whether Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows is better. I will say Mac, citing things such as its resistance to malware, high performance, high reliability, streamlined user interface, and built in tools which can do things such as burn bootable DVDs from ISO images, burn playable DVDs from a VIDEO_TS folder, save any printable document as a PDF, other image conversion and manipulation tools, the bundled iLife software, and the fact that you don't need to activate it when you set it up. Other advantages are the automatic Time Machine backup and the selective restore tool, comprehensive Exposé, Spaces and Widgets time-saving tools.
However, for fairness's sake, I will state the arguments of the PC-supporter. Though the software available form Macs has become very high, there is nevertheless more software made for Windows than Macs. Other arguments for PCs include stating that Macs only seem impervious to malware since all malware is targeted at Windows and that Windows performance is not really worse than that of Mac OS X, two statements I would contest.
Windows' advantages, specifically that of Vista (the most recent version of Microsoft Windows -- one that I would point out has its drawbacks), would include the presence of a Media Center (in the more expensive versions) for use with a TV or for viewing other media on the computer, search-as-you-type in the start menu, and desktop Gadgets. (It should be noted that these new features are also found in Mac.)
Depends on the usageSo now that I have detailed some differences, it is up to you to decide what you prefer or how either one would best suit your needs. If you are often required to use obscure software and you can't spend more than $500 on a computer, PCs may be the way to go. Or if you are a graphics designer and need a good, quick and reliable for your work, a Mac may be the way to go. Which one is better is up to you.
