How do you get rid of wininnet.dll virus?

First you need to find out what this dll file has attached itself to. If you go to run and enter procexp then hit enter. Go to find dll or handle and enter wininnet.dll. It will show you the processes and handle that it is attached to. Right click on the process and kill the process if it's not a necessary process for your computer to run. Then you can delete that dll. If it's something like Winlogon or Explorer (which I just dealt with), then you will need to right click on the process and go to properties. Listed under the threads will be all the dll's associated. You will need to right click and kill every instance of the wininnet.dll. You will also need to right click on the handle and kill that process. Then you should be able to delete or move that dll to another location. If you can't delete it, simply move it to a new folder. I created a "virus" folder in My documents. Then rebooted and was able to delete that dll damed virus. Good luck.

What could be the cause of Firefox continually shutting down on my computer?

This problem happens for a variety of reasons but the main reason or cause that this happens to me is because of a new add-on. Try to uninstall any recent add ons and see if that helps. Otherwise I have had to remove all instances of firefox from my computer and then restart and download a new "clean" version of Firefox. Try starting FireFox in Safe Mode (found in the start menu)

How do you restart an installer?

Answer by Techsupport

The reboot prompts shown sometimes by Windows Installer during or after an installation are controlled by the REBOOT property. By using a checkbox on the last dialog of the installation this property can be configured to give the user control over these prompts.

In order to add a "restart machine" functionality to your installation package, you can follow these steps:

=> go to the Install Parameters page and set the "Reboot Prompts" combo to Suppress all reboots and reboot prompts

=> go to the Dialogs page and add a checkbox on "ExitDialog"

=> in the Properties pane of the checkbox set the "Text" field to Restart machine

=> set the "Property Name" field to REBOOT

=> set the "Value" field to Force

The reverse logic can be used to reboot the machine by default:

=> go to the Install Parameters page and set the "Reboot Prompts" combo to Force reboot after install

=> go to the Dialogs page and add a checkbox on "ExitDialog"

=> in the Properties pane of the checkbox set the "Text" field to Do not restart the machine

=> set the "Property Name" field to REBOOT

=> set the "Value" field to ReallySupress

The REBOOT property

The possible values of the REBOOT property are:

=> Force - the installation will always prompt for a reboot after it is completed. If the installation is silent the machine will be automatically restarted at the end of the installation.

=> Suppress - the installation will not prompt for a reboot after it is completed, even if one is required. However, this option does not affect the reboot prompts which may appear during the installation.

=> ReallySuppress - the installation will not prompt for a reboot while it is running or after it is completed (even if one is required).

These values can be used to control the reboot prompts during or after the installation is completed. For example, you can use a radio button group with two radio buttons:

=> "Restart the machine" - this radio button has the "Value" field set to Force

=> "Do not restart the machine" this radio button has the "Value" field set to ReallySuppress

If you have three antivirus programs and none of them can get rid of a Trojan which is slowing down your computer what do you do?

First off you should never run more than one virus program at a time. Second a Trojan is not nessarily a virus. It can just be Spyware. I would suggest you download, update, and run a good Antispyware program such as Adaware 7.0, Spybot Search & Destroy, or Microsoft Antispyware. All are a free download.

(I'm not sure if you have already taken care of the problem, whomever posted this, but it could help other people with the same problem...)

clay has an incredibly good point. see, anti-virus programs, when installed, try to claim dominance over looking at your files. you have three of them trying to do the same job at the same time... they could be the things slowing your computer in the first place. you need to think about which one you think is the one that works best with the most virus definition updates and leave it alone. then, go and disable the others. (at least disable them. you can keep them if you really feel you need them, but disabling will keep them from running and overlapping each other. enable another in case of emergency or suspicion only AFTER disabling the running one.)

about the Trojan, it should be picked up either by your anti-virus program (i prefer AVG Free over any other anti-virus). if it isn't, i'd suggest "Spybot: Search and Destroy" or "Ad-Aware SE Personal". both of these are free downloads at http://download.com . (just search for them using their page.)

if you even THINK there's a Trojan on your computer, when you install either of these anti-malware programs, do NOT make a restore file! run them once each, and get rid of everything they mark as bad. restart your computer, and do it all over again. restart it a second time, and NOW make your restore file. the last thing you need is to make a backup of your computer and in a time of crisis, use it and accidentally reinstall a Trojan.

make sure you keep updating these things. i'd suggest doing each once a week at least. also, to keep your computer running quickly, use "Disk Defragmenter" (a windows utility; it's in the start menu ( start -> programs -> accessories -> system tools)) at least twice a month. ^___^

good luck!

What can you do to get relief from small moles that keep popping up on your face?

These are usually due to hormone changes in your body. Go to your doctor and have them removed. I know many of my girlfriends have had to have several small (even clusters of small moles) removed because it doesn't look very attractive and often can make the woman appear or feel older than she is.

What are the possible actions of a computer virus?

When you get a computer virus your computer may get random pop-ups trying to make you download something or sell something to you. It can also spread itself across your P.C files and make it harder for you to remove it. If you do not have anti-virus software and are an inexperienced online user you should really get an anti-virus or just be more carful of what sites you go on.
