Well, it should have been God, Glory and Gold, but with most of the conquistadors it was Gold, Glory and God.

The Philippines was already inhabited by natives and people from Malaysia and Indonesia when the Spanish expeditions sent to conquer and colonize it arrived in 1521 and 1565. Cortes wanted to go to Asia but he landed in Cuba. After that he sailed east where he found the island of Cozumel. Then he went north then south to end up in Campech.after that he sail to Pontonchon down south.then he sail to San Juan de Ulua where he landed in Mexico.after that her fought against an army of 25,000 men.now Cortes had only 499 men with guns, cannons and 16 horses. When the natives he fought saw the gun power and the horses they freaked out and thought that Cortes and men were gods so they retreated. Only two of Cortes men died and about 5,000 natives died that day in the battle.after that Cortes moved up north and fought more natives. Later Cortes was given about 200,000 to 300,000 men from different native tribes. Later on in 1519, Cortes and his 300,000 men attacked the capital city of the Aztecs called Tenochtitlan. I don't know how Cortes defeated the Aztecs if the Aztecs have over 2 million men, but he did. Later on, Cortes and other Spain armies took over Peasant Day Mexico, US, Middle Americas and the whole content of South America but Brazil.

Why was Hernán Cortés interested in Mexico? Because he was interested in gold and silver.

Unfortunately for the Aztecs, they welcomed the Spanish with gifts made from just the precious metal that fired the conquering spirits of Cortés and his men. The gifts of gold motivated them to conquer the city of Tenochtitlan, from where the gold had come. The conquest came with the aid of Native tribes the Aztecs had conquered. The conquistadors melted down countless amazing Aztec cultural items from Montezuma's palace into bars of gold.

Hernando Cortes explored Mexico. Particularly the Mexican Plateau, where the land is flat, and there are many minerals.This was also the land inhabited by the Aztecs, the indigenous people of Central Mexico. The Aztecs had a huge empire that was very complex for the time. People paid "taxes" to the "government" in return for many benefits of being part of the Aztec empire, such as going to school. The Aztecs had a very large army with spears and big sticks they used a clubs, and Hernando Cortes had only one or two hundred men with him, and defeated the mighty Aztecs because his men had swords and guns, which are much more effective. There are many long-term effects of this, and they are that They speak spanish in Mexico, and their religion is mainly roman cathoilc. If Hernando Cortes had not conquered the Aztecs, people in Mexico would probably speak the Nahuatl language, the language of the Aztecs, and the people would be the rel.igion of the Aztecs, but I am not sure what that is called...........
